The printer needs to think it has all 4 toners present, and NOT at the end of their life.
There are two methods of achieving your goal of using this as a mon printer only.
1 - a zero cost option which works on a CLP-510, and may work on CLP-500.
Hold the MENU button down whe you switch the printer on. The printer will then start up in 'UNCHECKED CONSUMABLE' mode. You will have to remember to do this each time you turn the printer on.
2 Just replace the reset fuse modules on the Yelllow, Magenta and Cyan cartridges. Much cheaper than replacing the cartridge.
In both these cases, of course there's no more toner in them. but provided you ONLY print mono this shouldn't be a problem, and there's probably an option in the printer driver to set it for mono anyway (but the printer still needs to 'think' it has usable colurs cartridges in it).
Waste toner tank full not installed
Behind the waste toner bottle near the top, there's a lever that uncovers a sensor that shines thru the bottle. You can blow out that area with canned air but usually the sensor needs to be replaced.
No power...checked switch, wall outlet, now what?
This is a serious problem. You should go to a service center. Before you do that you may check if power reaches to printer by opening the power inlet and using a 220/110V tester. But this is very risky. You should contact a technician.
Instructions with new belt says to reset counter
Try this : Press the following keys in quick
succession - MENU # 1 9 3 4. Then you should see a message on your display
saying 'TECH.' Then again select the MENU key followed by ENTER. The display
will now show 'TECH MODE.' Then select the '' key two times. Your operator
panel should show 'NEW CARTRIDGE'. Then select ENTER. Now the panel will show
[YES]. Select ENTER key again. You can exit from this mode by pressing MENU # 1
9 3 4 again one after another.

How do i do duplex printing
Hi there
You first need the program for working with duplex, also you will find in your driver Taps when you go to print it will have a place in there to click on duplex printing.
If you need a program for this work I would go online on the internet there put a surch in google for a program called PagePluse SE this program is free to use download it and I thing you like what it can do it very good.

When I this error on any printer my first question is 'Has somebody pulled on some stuck paper and torn it?' If people are honest and say 'yes' then there may be tiny piece of paper covering a sensor. Pull out the toner(s), fusers and paper tray(s) and look closely for any scraps of paper. They may be jammed in the parts that you just removed. If you have another of the eact same model you could simply swap parts to check none of them are faulty. Lastly, it may be worth buying a can of air and blowing it through the printer in case there is paper dust covering any sensors. Failing these, get the printer servied.

Unplug the printer.
Uninstall all of your printer software. Reinstall it as if it where a new printer. Under printers select your model as the default printer.
Print a test page.

I suggest you get a sheet of Card Stock (Heavy
paper) and place it in the feed way. Then press the print
button applying a slight amount of pressure on the Card Stock so it
will feed through the printer. The reason for this is in some cases I
have been able to clear the paper track of debris that was deposited there
over time.
Worth a try, as I have fixed a number of printers this
way, saving costly repairs.

Waste Toner Error Message For Samsung CLP 550
Dr. P,
Printer will display "Waste Toner Tank Full/Not Installed" error message if the waste tank is full of toner or not installed.
- Open the waste tank door and check for the waste toner tank.
- If the tank is full or not intalled, install a new tank.
If you have user guide, it will show you how to install the waste toner tank.
Sometimes you will also get this error message if the Waste Toner sensor is covered with toner powders.

Remove your waste tank and look for the black plastic on the right side after removing the waste tank.

You sould find small openings on each side in the black casing.

Use Q-tips or thin cotton object to clean the inside the small opening.

Black toner
If you refilled black toner you must replace the chip also or if you buy cartridge return the cartridge!!!!
