is scaning working properly? check the scanner section.

Has the machine been moved lately? If so recheck the plugs. It sounds like the machine is not actually plugged into the phone line or plugged in properly. Happened to me. When I checked I had absentmindedly plugged the phone cord into the ethernet port because I didn't look at the markings at the machine. Otherwise, plug a phone into the phone outlet and try it. If it works and everything else checks out then I would try replacing the cord between the fax and the phone wall outlet. Definitely sounds like it is not getting to the phone wall outlet.

I am posting this solution for Dell printers but i guess it will work well on samsung too...

• Lift the scanner unit on the front of the printer until you hear the scanner's support click and lock. Use both hands to lift the scanner unit.
• Locate the scanner's lock switch on the left side of the raised scanner beside the scanner support and pull the lock toward you.
• Lift the scanner unit. Push and hold the scanner support back to release the scanner unit from its raised position.
• Lower the scanner unit slowly until it is completely closed.
• Turn on the printer.

Without knowing what the language is makes it very difficult to change it unless you have the exact same phone in the other hand to use as a reference. Your cell phone service provider can help you with this if the phone came from them.

Dear Ajaikumar The printer used CCD to scan the doc. mostly dust accumulated on the optical path (mirror) try to clean the optical path with dry cotton lint free cloth. Take care not to open any thing from it. Thanks.

See your scaner lamp is running or not when it is not running open the glass change the place of the lamp and on the printer then lock the glass and slow tight the sqrue when not working the moter change then working properly the printer
