How to download avchd files

There are a ton of HD videos available online that you can download and convert to AVCHD videos so that you can burn them to regular DVDs and play them in a compatible Blu-ray player. For example, Vimeo has a large selection of sample AVCHD content. Both AVCHD's MTS and MP4 file formats support 720p, 1080i, and 1080p video resolutions. When downloading videos you should try to capture it at the highest resolution (1080p) possible. However, that said if your video player or TV only supports 720p resolution then that's the format you should select when downloading a video. RealPlayer Plus does not recognize MTS files. When using RealPlayer Plus to burn HD video onto a regular DVD, look for HD content in the MP4 format like the Vimeo screenshot below. If the resolution you want is only available as an MTS file, you will need to convert the MTS to the MP4 format using third-party software in order to burn an AVCHD DVD with RealPlayer Plus. Remove the write protected error on a sd card

SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

I can't get my card reader to work on my pc

when plugging into a USB you'll hear one of two sounds
a sound from low to high or a sound from high to low
the low to high sound it that the USB is working fine
the high to low means the USB is not working , on
another note SanDisk uses a utility on everyone of its
cards a troublesome utility that is not easily worked
the older it is the less performance it will have , but ultimately the sound has to be there the sound is the
computer recognizing the plugged in device which you'll find in my computer .

Computer just won't recognize reader

Was referring to the configuration. P3, P4, etc. Older boards that have a USB 1.1 port sometimes have compatibility issues with some USB 2.0 devices.

I recommend trying it on other XP-based computers. If it still doesn't work then the device has a problem. If it works then it could be a compatibility issue with your PC.

Hope this helps.

5 in one media card reader wont read

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Offhand, possibly a hardware fault in the reader. Most likely, dirty/misaligned prongs/contacts of the internal slot of the reader. The reader has several little prongs/contact that ouches the exposed connection points of the memory card and might require cleaning. You can try flattened cottonbuds dipped in alcohol. Alternately, you can try electronic contact cleaner (aerosol type) and spray the insides/slots. You could also use a can of compressed air fitted with the supplied narrow tube/nozzle to direct the air spray inside.

If cleaning would not resolve the issue, then a replacement maybe required.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

Micro sd

let me understand this...to erase from it, just pull it up after going to my computer and finding the usb port it is in and delete anything that is on it....
now you 2gb memory/card/stick is new? is this a memory card for your camera?
If your sd card is plugged in to removable disk k and you send your photos to it, then they should be on there. That is all you have to do is select, send to and choose disk K.
if you want to make sure they are going there, have disk K open and running at the bottom, it will not hurt a thing.
Hope this helps
