What i would do, is crack it open and check for any loose plugs or connectors. Just make sure the power cord is unplugged. I once had a cd player i fixed, and i had to leave it plugged in to check the ejection calibration, well, a screw fell in and "BAM", lights out for the cd player!!! I had to toss it , so be sure to unplug.If not for your safety, for the electronics. anyway, check for loose, plugs and even fried wires, If you find nothing wrong, you could take it to a electronics repair shop, there usually pretty cheap.Its at least cheaper then buying a new t.v. a decent price to fix a newer tv should'nt be more than $75 TOPS. If it is tell them to "KICK ROCKS!!!"

Three blinks of the power LED indicates an over-current or over-voltage condition in one of the DC supplies of the AP board. The AP board is repairable. I had the same problem with my Viera. if you disconnect the power and ribbon cable from the YSUS board (check youtube for how), the light led will blink 6 times, indicating the YSUS is bad. Check ebay for TNPA5175 board (about $115-160). The pop is one of the DG402RP chips burnout. These are about $4, but only available from China. If you can wait a month for delivery, you can solder the new one to replace the bad one. You may want to purchase several in case more are bad or it happens again.

That probably won't work. You'll have that problem until you get a new TV.

I would say that's pretty much had it ,if there's smoke coming from the back something has burnt out I would take it to a TV specialist to see if it can be repaired Nick
