Soyo SY-P4I 845PE Motherboard Questions & Answers
I want to change my pentim 4 cpu 1.70ghz.256
Your motherboard is already maxed-out - no bigger processor is available.
You need a new one, with new memory and a new video card. Or just buy a new pc, it will be cheaper in the end if you aren't a gamer.
Need the layout of the USB plugs? 4pins in one row
Normal USB pinout is as follows:
1 VCC Red +5 VDC
2 D- White Data -
3 D+ Green Data +
4 GND Black Ground
Pin 5 is universally a second power, so it may not always be used.
Your motherboard may have the pin #1 marked but if not, standard is for the #1 pin to be closest to the CPU. Your manual should show this, if you have it.
Good Luck
I am trying to install SY-P4I 845PE motherboard
This board is a oldie...
Its going to be slow with the 3 ISA slots.
Anyway, most important is the 24 pin power connector and above to the right is a 4- pin video plug, which you must have to complete your video output.
Next, close to the CPU holder is a 3 - pin CPU fan connection.
Next, your IDE drives, you may want to check your pinout on the cables you are using.
Next, is the USB connections.
Sound, power on, turbo, reset and leds should all be together on one block.
Hope this has helped you.

Can you see a small hole at the bottom to the left or right of the draw or even below it. If you can and can get your hands on a paper clip, very gently insert the paper clip. That should release the draw.
Failing that, and depending what you have insode the draw it may be worth you buying a new one.?
