Hello Tom, Sounds like all you need to do is a fresh reinstall of the software and everything should be fine. This is a normal problem with Microsoft Windows.
SD/SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.
Many cameras will not display pictures that were taken with a different type of camera. You should still be able to view those pictures on the original camera, a computer, or a digital photo frame.If I may make a gentle suggestion, use your camera to take pictures. To display them, use something better suited for the task.
