Top 20 LG LMV1813ST Microwave Oven - Page 6 Questions & Answers

Fuses are normally internal on Microwaves and opening the cabinet exposes dangerous voltages, even when disconnected.

The fuses used are 'Ceramic' and look like this.

You unplug it fro 10 minutes to drain down the circuit, but if it doesn't heat the chances are that the Magnetron is defective, in that case a new oven is a good choice.

Only gravity keeps the door in open position. You can try to tilt front down by loosening the top mounting bolts.

I hate to be the bearer or conduit of bad news, but IF the old (broken) door works, but the new door does not, the new door may not be the exact replacement part! Otherwise, the operation would be identical. Clearly, the problem is not with the microwave circuits because they work fine with the original door! Is there a flexible circuit strip that plugs to or from the door, to the control board in the main unit? If so, does it look any different than the original counterpart to it?

If the display comes and goes the only fix is to replace the complete control panel, a very expensive part.

take it to a repair shop for a proper diagnosis but generally anything other than a fuse , it will be cheaper to get a new unit

Try ManualsLib here: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/638625/Goldstar-Mv1502b.html . This is the Goldstar MV1502W (or MV1502B). Since the LG MV1502B manual refers to the unit as the Goldstar MV1502, this is probably the same model.

I hope this helps.

Usually, if you push the Stop/Clear button once or twice that will reset the panel. Barring that, unplugging it will almost always work :)
