How do i reset to
Hi,
This router will have a Reset button in back side of router.
Press that button for 30 Seconds. It will go back to factory default setting.

What is the default ip address for dlink 3226?
The Switch's factory default IP address is 10.90.90.90
with a subnet mask of 255.0.0.0 and a default gateway of 0.0.0.0.

My problem is under
switch dont have any ip. this is a midetor for shairing data between more than one computer connect your computers to switch by cables and configure ip to your computers
My switch got burnt due to short circuit.
where is the short circuit? usually you cant fix a short unless it is in the power switch itself.i would sugest trashing it and replacing it. i always stick with cisco brand but there are other god ones. check pc world and cnet reviews on switches and routers. cost you more to repair than replace.

Go to system preferences, select Accounts. Whoever set up the Mac should be listed as the administrator, so click on administrator name. This will bring up the password change icon. Click on it and change your password. (You might want to check out those Parental Controls, too. :)
REGARDING SWITCH PROBLEM
Please replace the cable using a D-link straight - through cable. Connect the port 1 to the server

I want to set up a server and 10 computer LAN without an internet connetin involved
just hook it up, you have no router involved so it will have no internet connection.Just connect all the PC's to the switch using straight through patch leads and assign the IP address manually as DHCP will not run on the switch.you don't need a default gateway address as there will be no routing. Just set the IP addresses to;192.168.0.1192.168.0.2192.168.0.3 and so on for each host on the LAN. Use the subnet mask 255.255.255.0 this will give you the address range 192.168.0.1-254hope this helps.
