Presuming that your tablet's wifi connection is on, and your wifi router is on, and that all other devices are able to connect, except for your tablet pc,

Get into the router's webinterface, and check what is the radiating channel for the adapter. If it's "mixed", change it to channel 6.

See if that helps. It has helped me many times.

Your router should show you what method of authentication is being used.

Check your physical connection first. From the modem, it should be connected to the router's Internet port, then your computer must be connected to port 1 on the back of the router. Reset the router now, hold the reset button at the back of the router for 30 seconds, Then do a power cycle by turning off the router first then the modem, wait for 20 seconds. Turn on the modem first and wait for the ligts to be steady then power on the router, no need to run the setup CD. If it doesn't work, you need to manually configure the router. You may need assistance from D-Link tech support. Call their toll free number

Besides the DHCP/PPoE issue that cnavarro already said, I recommend you to check the interface metric, click on start, then on run, type cmd and click on ok
then in the black window type "netstat -r" that will tell you the metric of each interface according to each network destination, depending on what you see in there (like windows looking for a network trough another device) then just change the metric to 1 in your dwl520.

You need to make sure first that your laptop is connected to your wireless router's network because that the only way you can use internet access and access file on your laptop using the router.

To configure your router.
>Make sure you have Internet connection on your modem
>Connect the modem to the router using an Ethernet cable under WAN port of the router.
>Another Ethernet cable should be place on any LAN port on the router going to your computer.
>Access the configuration page of the router (192.168.0.1) on the address bar.
>If you have the login page, Type admin/Admin on the username and leave the Password Blank.
>Once inside click on Home and choose WAN on the left side.
>Choose Dynamic IP address

Ok so your computer says conencted to wireless network,
Check if the pc is getting a valid ip address follow this Click start>RUN>type CMD>click OK>then type ipconfig you should be getting a 192..x.x.x if you're getting a 169.x.x.x ir means that you're really not connected to your wireless network, if there's a wireless security enable on your network make sure you have the correct key.

I believe it is a setting on the router.. There should be a timeout setting that needs to be altered. I cant tell you which setting, but this was happening to my network as well.. I used to be a Dlink fan, but have since moved to Linksys.. If buying a new router for you is an option, go for the Linksys WRT54G/GL/GS series. Sorry I cant be of much more help.

After installing the wireless card into a PCI slot, when you booted the pc, did you get a New Hardware Found message? If not, try another PCI slot.

You can find the details of the operator and the state they belong to .the operators wont reveal the address and name of any mobile numbers only higher officials can only get those information.

I am sure it is now toast and you cannot downgrade if the wrong firmware has been installed. I would ask D-Link.

the manual is free , at dlink dot com you push the reset button for long time per manual 15sec (iirc) the release it and now all defaults are set. per the manual, google dir-655 manual. easy as pie if you just read the manual.

There's a reset button on the back of the router, it's a small button that you can press using a paper clip. Press it for 15 seconds to reset it.

Reset 1:
Press the reset button for 15 seconds at the back of the router while the router is on.

Reset 2:
Press the reset button for 15 seconds while the router is on after 15 seconds unplug the power cord while holding the reset button then count another 15 seconds and release the reset button. Then plug the power cord back in.

Reset 3:
Press the reset button for 15 seconds while the router is on after 15 seconds unplug the power cord while holding the reset button then count another 15 seconds and plug the power cord back in while the reset button is plugged in and count another 15 seconds release the reset button.
