Open you web browser and type 192.168.1.1 on the url space. Then a box will appear for username and password.give as 'admin' for both and page will load. you can find the wireless category in there. In wireless category, you'll find SSID password. Thanks.

How did you lose a SSID?
The wireless router has a default SSID and you should change the default SSID when you configure the wireless setting.
If you go into the router's wireless setting you can view the SSID and/or change it to something else.
The only way you can lose this setting is to reset the router to the factory defaults, and if this is the case just change the SSID to something you like.

Overuse i think, try turning it off when noone is using.

One more thing re low id on emule - try to choose ports between 10000 and 60000 - many isps block the standard ports that emule users choose, and you will see people saying to choose one over 5000, but I'd chosen ports between 5000 and 10000, and still had no luck until I went over10000.
Most isps don't monitor ports over 10000, so if you still have low id problems even after port forwarding and setting up your firewall, this may be the answer to your problem! (I got this info off portforward.com, and it worked for me)

there is apossible hardware issue within the unit itself, the chipset may have been damaged through age, surge or impact.

aside from the hardware issue, it can be a firmware issue too, and an upgrade will be the best move to solve the problem.

please contact D-Link support to perform further troubleshooting and to check on the warranty status of the device as it is showing signs of being deffective.

I am sorry, but I would not listen to advice that you need to disable your Firewall for it to work!?!

Obviously as the response shows, even with the Firewall disabled it did not work [and would be vulnerable to attack]

There are two possibilities off hand:

1. You have not taken into account forwarding ports in your Router as well as Software Firewall [if applies to you]
2. Your ISP may be aware of using the ed2k protocol and try to stop you from using eMule

Remember to use the OBFUSCATION option.
This option in eMule allows you to connect to a server in a way
that masks or 'hides' the ed2k (eMule) protocol

Go To Options > Security

Here you'll tick the "Enable Protocol Obfuscation" box


Remember to only tick the first box under "Protocol Obfuscation"

You should be able to see your 'hidden' status on the right side
of the server window in eMule


If your ISP was in fact interfering, this should help you gain back your ability to use eMule without restriction

Hello, It sounds like a driver problem. We can try this. Click start, right click my computer and left click manage. Next click device manager. This will list all the hardware and devices on the computer. The printer is listed under the ports(COM & LPT). Click the + in the box and the tree opens up and shows the printer. Right click on the printer and click update driver. Follow directions from install wizard. Reboot computer and see what happens. Let me know if Flames shoot out..LOL..Just kidding..Good Luck..!!

I'm not sure about your Router whether you use it for Cable or DSL.
If you use it for cable, unscrew the coaxial cable and do factory defaults your router and re-plug the coaxial.
- if it is DSL, isolate the filter/spliter and connect the phone cable directly from the walljack to the router and do factory defaults the device. re-configure the router.
- Check the firmware version of the device whether it is latest one.

You TYPE that 192.168.0.1 into your web browsers address bar, and press ENTER.

I believe this may be a problem with your handheld device or handheld wireless service and not either of your broadband routers. Your particular PDA does not utilize the same wireless technology that your PCs and laptops do. Your PDA works with GSM,gprs & GPRS technologies. While laptops and PCs most commonly use 802.11a/b/g technologies. In summary, your PDA does not go to the Internet through your broadband routers. In fact, other than connectivity through bluetooth or USB, I doubt your PDA has any interaction with any devices connected to the broadband routers. Now, why can you not access certain services on your handheld? It may be that you are not connected to the right network with your service provider. It looks like this devices works on the Cingular network. There are 3 types of networks available. GSM, which is used primarily for voice traffic. gprs (note the lowercase), which is used for simple text messaging. And GPRS (note the uppercase), which handles all the other types of data transfer, including browsing the web and chatting. First, you may want to check with your service provider that you have an active plan that supports Internet surfing and chatting, such as GPRS (note the uppercase again). Second, once this has been confirmed, make sure the network indicators on the PDA show that you are connected to the GPRS (and not the GSM or gprs) network. Only when you are connected to the GPRS network, will you be able to utilize all the features of your PDA (voice calls, text messaging, and e-mail/web browsing). One way to force the PDA to get on the GPRS network is to just resset the wireless antenna. Second would be to reboot the device. If neither of those work, I would recommend contacting your service provider, as they will be able to help you trouble shoot PDA and network issues further. D-Link´s print servers are IEEE1284 bi-directional compatible. This means that data can be sent and received in both directions between the printer and the D-Link print server. Toner status, paper level, and etc. will not be communicated back to the PC. In order to get printer status information, the proprietary printer driver has embedded code that needs to be passed on to the print server, decoded, then interpreted by the print server. Embedded driver codes are not supported by D-Link print servers. D-Link´s print servers, whether in Gateways or StandAlone, are plain TCP/IP print servers.

There are no plans to have Macintosh software for the print server feature of our routers. If you can perform port-based printing (OSX), you do not need printer software. Try changing the Spool Data Format setting in the printers control panel from EMS to RAW. Step 1 Go to Start>Settings>Printers. I am sure it is now toast and you cannot downgrade if the wrong firmware has been installed. I would ask D-Link.
