The LCD cannot be used to frame or compose images. The LCD is for setting up the various parameters available in the Setup menu and reviewing images.

No. The camera cannot be connected to a computer. You must use an SD card reader to transfer images to a computer.

Although the photos are saved as .JPG, is there an issue with the physical size of them ? Perchance, should the loaded image exceed the size of the paper loaded, the printer may not be able to print it.

No you don't have to buy a new printer :-) for a few pence /cents you can buy an adapter from eBay.

You may have a finger getting into the area in front of the lens.

The D7000 doesn't have wireless capability on its own. However, depending on how your printer is configured, you could use an Eye-Fi card to send your pictures to be printed.
