Try by restarting the service

To restart the wireless zero configuration
1) Go to Control Panel
2) Open Administrative Tools
3) Double Click on 'Services'
4) Scroll down to 'Wireless Zero Configuration' and right click on it and select 'Start' or 'Restart' or Stop and then Start . from the menu

Restart the router and the computer, I am sure that would do the trick.

It depends on who programmed those in. Try "admin" with "administrator" as the password all lower case. If it was set at the factory the information should be in the user manual. If you have forgotten what you set them to your only choice is the reset button on the router.

I didn't see your earlier post, and you did not, relate it here. So this is the best that can be done. Everything is in the Manual.

1. Bring up a web page ( browser that is) and enter 192.068.0.1 in the address line or URL
2. this will bring you to the login page with the user / password fields showing.
3. type in the user field "admin" then enter donot enter password unless you have designated one
4. Go to the status tab or link on the side bar or at the top of the page to find the "status log".
You didn't give the model of the router so I may not be able to give further instruction at this time

Connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then you can access it with following default link.
http://192.168.0.1
or
http://192.168.1.1
If you are not able to access it with above ip then check your computers ip address gateway ip is your router ip try with it.
Then it ask for user name and password.
Type user as "admin" and password as "admin" or "password" or blank.
Then you can see configuration page of router.

Click on wireless settings enable wireless then enable WEP Security then add WEP code .It is your password to connect wi fi.Then save settings and restart router.
You can also find SSID to set network name in wireless settings.
Then you can connect your wi fi network with that code.

You will basically have to reset the router or gateway that providing the internet/connection. Look for the reset button on the device.

Hi, to change the password of the router that's very easy.

1. open a web explorer
2. type 192.168.1.1
3. when prompted for user type in :admin and for password : admin
   
4. a control panel will open where you will be able to find all your required settings.

Your wireless network must be secured
You will need to check the wireless settings of the router.
Is there any computer online using the router.
check the IP address on that computer.
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
router set up page is the page where you can check all the router settings.

If you want to reset your router meaning setting it back to its Default settings, you just need to press and hold the reset button on the back of the router for about 10 seconds while power is ON then after that router is already back to its default.

Is there any computer connected to the router ?
If not then you will need to connect the computer to the router.
Do not change any wireless settings on the router with the wireless computer.
you will need to connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable.
check the IP address of the computer.
open the router set up page of the router.
Here you can change the wireless settings of the router.
Now once you change the network anme and security on the router, you will need to connect to the wireless network on your wireless computers.

To set the password for this router the first thing you have to do is access the router's user interface (UI) by opening Internet Explorer. In the address bar you will type 192.168.1.1 and hit Enter. You will be prompted for a username and password. For the username, type admin and leave the password blank (by default there is no password set on your router) and hit Enter. You should now be in the Gateway Wireless Router Setup page. On the left hand side of the screen you will see a tab for Password. Click on that tab and you will be presented with an option of setting a password, which you will have to type in twice. After you have done so, you will now login in using admin for the username and your custom password.

If a password has already been set on this router and no one knows what that password is, you may reset the router to factory condition with just the admin and blank password by physically going to the router and holding in the Reset button until the router does a hard reset (all the lights will turn on at once) and then follow the steps I have stated above.

To fix these error messages there are a few things you can try:

Set your router to Mixed Mode.
If it is set to G-Only it will not work.

Set the channel on your router to either 1 or 11

Both of these settings can be found in the wireless tab on a standard linksys router.

i can confirm that changing the router to mixed mode works. I had mine set to G only, I switched it to mixed and bamm. I also shortened my wpa key, it was way to long and I kept messing it up.

On laptop, turn OFF DHCP. Go START>>RUN>>services.msc (enter) When services window appears, scroll down to DHCP,set to OFF and Disable from starting up., Reboot. Now ensure you have all WiFi drivers installed, and see if you can connect to the network.

The default User name & password will be admin and admin.
