I would suggest the following : 1) Turn the iPad off 2) Wait 10 seconds 3) Turn on the iPad 4) Delete the app 5) Reinstall the app If the busy (whirl) indicator continues, chances are that you have an older iPad that will not play the latest apps. Hi it happens with some apps that they don't run unless you update them. So just go to play store find the app and update it and then you can play again. regards

Then, you have to make your phone be able to install non-google play store apps. Go to your phone's settings, tap on security, and check the box that says "allow installation of non-market apps." After that, look up old words with friends apk on your web browser. Download the old words with friends apk file, open it, and install it. You will have the old words with friends app.
