How to restore the volume to higher levels, when accessing news videos, Youtube, Skype etc? Levels are quite normal if I use my Media players for music. .

To change the volume using the Volume Control icon, you just need to do the following:

Click the Volume Control icon in the bottom right corner.
Now you'll see a new window that allows you to adjust your volume. Simply click the volume bar to set your volume to a desired level.

Hi John.
Not saying this will work for you laptop so its up to you if you try it.
How do I reset the BIOS password on my Toshiba laptop? To reset Bios password follow these steps:

take out memory stick.
on the system board (under memory stick) you see Jumper JRST.
by a small cable connect Jumper JRST to Ground (usually on the side of slot for Memory Stick)
push the power button to turn on laptop.
it will reset the Bios password.

I have put my dvd in my laptop what do i do to be

if the DVD can detect any disk that you insert but just cannot play the movie
try to download VLC player or you can download codec so you can use the windows media player to play the movie

you can search klite codec from google

I have downloaded itunes to my computer but it won't open it. It is a pc laptop toshiba satellite A665D with windows 7 64 bit Why?

iTunes will install in Program Files (x86) even the 64 bit version. There are also iTunes files in Program Files as well. This is normal. It appears that the 64 bit version is really a hybrid of both 32 and 64 bit, the drivers mainly being 64 bit. Having itunes.exe 32* in the Task manager is normal

A lot of people are having problems with itunes 9.1. You can get 9.03 at this site. It ran flawlessly for me.

Hi I have a toshiba p870 with the wxga lcd. Can I replace the lcd with the wuxga lcd?

you ask here, I do know why, as Toshiba has no support at all.
they send you to toms hardware .com, and they have no forum.
off hand Id say now, most need matching motherboard to do that.
be expensive to guess, and be wrong, no?
