I have a Kodak dc290. Where can I buy a flash card

The DC 290 uses Compact Flash (CF) cards. You should be able to buy them at just about any electronics or office-supply store.

I have a Kodak DC290

If it sat a long time with old batteries, make sure they did not leak and corrode the contacts in the camera. Look at them and clean if necessary.

Kodak DC 290 E 11 Error Message

What a shame! I remember wanting a 290 pretty badly but couldn't afford it. You probably have already tried it without a card. If the camera doesn't work with no memory card, then it has to be the camera that is broken. Batteries okay? Worth cleaning the contacts and trying some brand new high quality Alkaline batteries just in case that is the problem. I think that camera connects to a computer and has a utility program that runs on the computer (and can be downloaded from Kodak.com). The utility program might provide more information or even be able to replace the camera's firmware. Sorry, I don't have a solution - just sympathy. Don't be too upset with Kodak. If they built their cameras to be repaired easily they would be more expensive and no one would buy them. I lost my camera due to one second of inattention when I fell out of a canoe and got it wet.

When press power, it turns off inmediately

It's most likely that your camera has a lens error, this is such a common fault that I hope you don't mind me pasting my stock generic answer below. No point in reinventing the wheel!

Stuck lenses are probably the most common reason that compact digital cameras get thrown away, but there's a fair chance of recovering use of your camera again

The fault is commonly caused by dirt or grit blocking the mechanism, or due to it having suffered a recent fall. Another common cause is that the camera was in a pocket or bag and the power button accidentally activated and tried to open the lens against resistance. The mechanism may have simply become dislodged or there may be parts which have broken.

If your camera is still under warranty and has definitely not been subject to misuse then contact the Kodak service department in your country to find out about a free repair. If the warranty has expired though a professional repair will far exceed the cost of replacing your camera. You will therefore have nothing to lose by trying to fix this yourself.

Please click here and you will be taken to an excellent article provided by the Camera Repair website. For the most part, you'll be guided on how to physically manipulate your camera to try and clear the fault. Although the article mentions Canon a few times, the advice applies equally to all cameras with lens errors and is not model-specific.

If the link doesn't work then cut and paste the following address into your browser:-

Good luck, I hope you manage to use this information to fix your camera. Please take a moment to rate the free answer I have provided for you and any testimonial which you might wish to add is always welcome!

Largest Compact Flash card a Kodac DC290 will acomodate?

To the best of my knowledge, the largest Flash Memory card a DC290 can utilize, is 256 MB. The 290 is an upgrade to the 260 and the largest that could use is 256 MB. I've not tried anything larger so I don't know if it could only "see" 256 MB of something larger or if it would not recognize it at all.

Kodak dc290 digital camera keeps giving formatting failed error

Try cleaning the contacts on the memory card(usually sraping them lightly with a knife helps with contact) and if that doesn't work try formatting the card in your computer.

Wide-Angle Lense Fuzziness

That's completely normal for those cheap wide angle add on lenses. There good for a little fun but nothing serious. I bought the lens kit for the Kodak DC3400, probably the exact same lens. The telephoto in that kit was actually pretty reasonable though.
