Can i charge the camera by useing the port on the

No. the Z760's battery needs to be charged in the charger, not the camera. Connecting the camera to the computer merely drains the battery faster.

Camera will not upload photos to computer

Depending on the method you're using, this can usually be remedied in one of two ways:
  1. USB Cable: make sure your camera is turned off before connecting to the computer, and that the drivers for your camera have been loaded prior to connecting.
  2. Memory Card: SD or MMC card readers are becoming more std. on computers, or inexpensive card readers are available to connect via USB.
If you are experiencing difficulties with either of these, this may involve a problem with your USB port or the drivers your computer is using. Sometimes it's as simple as removing the driver which isn't working properly and re-installing it again. In most cases, you will need to install the driver without the USB device connected, so that after you have successfully loaded the driver, the computer will recognize your USB device properly.

Once again, make sure your camera is turned OFF when you connect it to your computer with the USB cable (of course, your computer needs to be turned on). Then, turn the camera on, and you should see the computer recognize the device.

Kodak Easyshare Z760 orange light flashing

The flash does not charge separate from the rest of the camera. Try cleaning the flash sensor on the front of the camera or the flash led may be bad.

Secondly, this light functions as a flash sensor which is trying to tell you that you need to use a flash although you may have the flash manually turned off. looks like a bolt of lightning with a circle/slash through it.

Camera wont charge

Hi, if you are using the KLIC-5000 battery try to clean the metal contacts on the battery. Try also to remove the battery of your camera dock your camera on the docking station then turn on the camera, if the camera will not turn on it means the charging mechanism of the dock is defective. Now if the camera turns on it means the battery is defective that is why you can charged it.

I have bought 2 SD

Check the edge of the SD card and see if the switch is in "Lock" position. Toggle it to 'Unlock' and try reformatting the card.

Check the user manual of the camera to see what type of SD card is needed. There are regular SD card and some are called the SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity). Some devices could only work with the regular SD cards, If the camera could only support regular SD cards, make sure that your SD cards are not SDHC.

If everything's verified, try formatting the SD card using your computer to see make sure that the problem is coming from the camera.

If it's isolated with the camera, then, the SD slot of the camera could be bad.

Contacting the manufacturer would be the best thing to do after doing the things that I advised you. Have a second opinion from them or have them upgrade the firmware version of the camera. Upgrading the firmware is the best solution if the problem is related to the program.

Good luck and have a great day!

Kodak z760 lcd screen will not work in the auto

It could have something to do with the batteries/ battery compartment: 1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher). 2. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera 3. Turn on your camera without the memory card. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty)

Won't charge battery

Your problem may be due to corrosion on the battery contacts inside the camera which can prevent the full power of the batteries from flowing to or from the camera. Try this free fix before you do anything else: remove the batteries and wipe the camera contacts firmly with a dry cloth (heavy corrosion may require cleaning with a wire brush, steel wool, or sandpaper). Remove any residue that may have fallen into the battery compartment during cleaning, then wipe both ends of the batteries and place them back in the camera and try the charge again. This cleaning clears the problem about 90% of the time. If it doesn't work for you, the dock may have a problem that requires professional repair.
