the problem is based on a failure of the backup accu. This can only be fixed by a Toshiba Repair Service. They have to change a Board inside the PDA.

In my opinion it is always very risky to buy some second hand unit because you can not be sure if every hardware component works properly. The best solution for you is to contact service partner and let them check the PDA. It is also possible that power supply electronic has some malfunction

my 740 had also problems with loosing the USB connection. I gave it to my dealer and he told me that the USB connector was defective...

I assume that there is some serious hardware problem. In my opinion the best solution is to contact service partner in your country and let them check the unit.

My problem was that the Folder which I tried to open contains a damaged File. My solution was after restoring the backup, to synchronize the mail with my desktop computer and checked the content of my mails.

The only thing I can think of is to remove the battery, then use a blowdryer on low heat to help evaporate any water still remaining in it before it causes any more damage. Once you think it's completely dry, pop the battery back (after drying it off) in and try to turn it on. (Note: Don't risk plugging it in for a charge for a while, as electricity and water don't usually mix.) If it turns on but the screen doesn't work, you can still recover any data on it, followed by the option of having the screen repaired or replace the PDA. If it doesn't turn on at all, pray you have a backup of the data.

you have to buy extra software to be able to print out. I got the PrintPocketCE and can now print via Infrared, Bluetooth, Wireless network and serial connections.

usually on toshiba you have to download the touch pad file from the manufacturers web site unless there is a disable in the bios this varies by model...be sure to get the right "utility file" for your particular model
