TO DO WHAT< you left off the problem
Loss a BIOS PASSWORD> or worse , HDD encryption? keys>?
what makes you think it has one?

internet rumors. (this topic is rife with lies) so........
Toshiba has no forum now.
So come here and not to tomsHardware.com as Toshiba asks onl there website.
So if TOM is no help and if Toshiba is no help (they are not)
then why not google all day , or watch then endless parade of youtubes on this topic.

why not first state the problem
and asks for help.
and not vague jumpers. please.
answered here this way on fixya 100s of times.
if the OEM is no help
and you lost your PW
use youtube. (or google for weeks on end..........)

click download at ms.com?
NO PC stated at all. 1000's of models for over 3years
1985 to now.
we can't begin to guess what PC you own or country sold to.
After all PC's here in USA are not same world wide.
No symptoms stated. (its ok, but if your question was
1: what OS run on this pig.
2: who sells it, answer Microsoft.com
if you said free the answer is Linux. (unbuntu)

the answer depends on many factors.
what OS will run on any random old PC.
W10 will not on most old ones.

the problem is 2 fold,
1: not known what OS is there now( could have been upgraded 4 times? by now. sure you forgot?
2: nor knowing that 2 of the 4 are not sold not, just w7 and w10 are sold at ms.com and zero sold at Toshiba (only the most new are support) and Toshiba is junk class company now , that they
shut down their support forum (buy DELL next time,ok?>)
3: also some older PC by TOSH have this very tiny rechargeable battery that is bad and leaks chemicals and cascade damaged.
not the normal easy to fix coin cell but soldered down cells.(TOSH)
4: ;the HDD failures, are very common, for sure laptops,.
reloading any OS , we first test the HDD.
Or is hopeless to the extreme trying all week (no fun that)

The PC has service tag, find it and tell what data is on it. (full model numbers ,ok?)
we don't need the serial number here as we are not TOSHIBA ,we be finger pointers to them.
model numbers and names full is what any tech needs first.
and 2nd what OS was running, XP my guess

Im at Toshiba.com for you now.
sattlight (Satellite correct) has 100s of models.
first find this.

this is what they call question #1
here is nice wiki showing how the word satellite means so little
best one of 10 is this.... imo

Others have been able to change the password in BIOS. Found this:

1. The HDD password cannot be removed using Security Assist.
2. Using SETUP BIOS (i.e. start machine; Hold Esc; Press F1), Tab to the HDD Password section which should be displayed as follows:
HDD Password
HDD = Built-in HDD
HDD Password Mode = USER Only
User Password = Registered
3. Tab to the "User Password" field and simply enter the old password and then a new one twice (once to verify) as one would do normally. If you don't want a password, just press "enter" twice

The quickest way to change the display output settings is to use the
display hot key (Fn + F5):
1 Press Fn and F5 simultaneously.
2 While holding down Fn, press F5 repeatedly until the setting
you want takes effect. Briefly pause each time you press the F5
key to allow time for the display to change.
This hot key cycles through the settings in the following order
(the last two options are available if an external monitor is
? Built-in display only
? Built-in display and external monitor (simultaneously)
? External monitor only
? Built-in display and TV (or other external video device)
? TV (or other external video device)
? External monitor and TV
? Built-in display and external monitor (extended mode)
? Built-in display and TV (extended mode)
? External monitor and TV (extended mode)
? Swap-Switch primary display between internal display
and external monitor when using extended desktop
