My Toshiba Pocket PC e330

To get a new rechargeable battery for your e330, go here: https://www.google.com/search?q=Toshiba+Pocket+PC+e330+battery&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-b-1 Also, is there a CMOS battery in that thing? If so, that might be your problem. Good luck.

In the sub menus you can review how its being you and modify how you want it used.

Please include make and model of you unit so someone can find you a manual.

My PC not turn on

The Toshiba Pocket PC e330 is shipped with an Enabled security feature, which switches off the batteries. In order to be able to turn on the unit, the Battery Switch must be in a battery "Supply" position. Please check if the Battery Switch is in a Stop position or Supply position. The Battery Switch can be found on the lower left edge of the unit, next to the "DC-In Socket". Please see the below diagram The Battery Switch supplies or stops power to the Pocket PC. When using the Pocket PC for the first time, slide this switch to the left with the stylus pen. If you have further questions, please refer to the Instruction Manual page 2-3 (20 of 105).

Battery discharges instantly

If the LCD/Display is left on all the time, I can see that it would discharge quickly.Check any settings that have to do with power usage (LCD on time, etc)

I would change the battery still with a known good one. I suppose it is possible that the phone itself has a problem where the battery management/power management IC is haywire. Easist solution is to replace the phone.

What is the maximum amount of SD/MMC memory on e330

In my opinion there is no any limitation. I am pretty sure that you can use 1GB SD Card without any problems. Only thing that can happen is that access to your data can be a little bit slower.

Systemproblems with Toshiba e330

Here is an easy proposal for troubleshooting. Did you push the ON/OFF button for a few seconds? Did you switch the battery and wait between switching a few minutes? If the pda doesn't work after this troubleshooting you should go to a Service partner because there could be a hardware problem.

GPS on a e330

In my opinion there is no reason that it will not work properly. As far as I know lot of PDA`s are sold in Germany with GPS. Only problem can be GPS hardware. If you want to buy some please check which ports they need to work properly.

GPS device not recognized

Firstly if you have a driver currently installed on your e330 for the GPS system, install it. (To uninstall - Start => Settings => System (Tab) => Remove Programs. One of the items in the list should be something like "PL-2303 USB Driver" Highlight it and click remove. You will probably be prompted for a restart to complete the process) Next, either reinstall the driver you got originally with the GPS receiver, or if you email me I will send you the one I have got. You will again need to restart your Pocket PC to complete the installation process. When you start your Tom Tom software, you may need to configure the GPS receiver. To do this, tap on the bottom right hand side of the screen, where the signal strength meter is and again tap on the signal meter on the next screen (top right corner) Next, click configure, specify your GPS hardware (I would presume you have a generic NMEA GPS?) click select, select your devices baud rate (again unless you know otherwise, and do consult your GPS receiver manual, I think the generic is 4800 and click done. Now you should have 4 options of how your GPS device connects to your Pocket Pc. The bottom option should say something like "COM4:" Select that one and within a few seconds the GPS Status should spring into life.
