Wireless Lan: I hadn't used my e755 in a very
You did not say what wireless you are using. The e755 is the PDA and it is having trouble with the connection to the wireless lan. There have been a lot of updates to the wireless devices because of security issues. IT could be that the PDA can not talk to the wireless because the wireless is updated. You may have to reset the PDA and have it discover the wireless connection all over again.

To align your screen
select Settings, System, Align Screen to ajust the touch screen,
If the screen alignment loses calibration it may not be possible to adjust alignment useing the above method.
In that case the align screen command can be executed by simultaneously pressing the power button and scroll button.

Before you try to replace the screen, get the firmware re installed. It could very well be a software problem. If that does not work then you think on the original lines.

I'm sorry to say but this looks like a corrupted ROM issue. The ROM memory stores your operating system and some parts of the firmware. If it becomes corrupted (various reasons) the PDA can't boot up the operating system, resulting in the strage situation you are experiencing. You can't connect it via active sync because it can't be detected as it can't boot anymore. It is very weird that this occured because of running an oficial upgrade. This leads me to suspect that there is something phisically rong with the wi-fi module on the pda's mainboard. You will need to take it to a service center to have it examined first. They will also put a specially made bootable sd card to reinstall the operating system is a way similar with computer windows instalation by booting from a cd. Most logically the wi-fi module has a problem and when trying to acces it by rewriting it's firmware (part of ROM) this resulted in the corruption of some ROM sectors.
I'm sorry that this isn't a do-it-yourself type of fix, but it would be safest to ask a service center to examine your PDA's mainboard.
Map Install
The “download” and the “indexing” of the maps are really 2 separate procedures. Yes, the indexing can take quite a while; you might as well have something else to do after you hit OK. Some members save certain maps files, already indexed to substitute as needed. Then the only speed concern is in the copying of the file to the SD card using a card reader. Some cards such as the Toshiba are fast to read but slow to write so this becomes a factor at this point.
Edit: I’m assuming you meant 256MB not 256K. Also when you add just a little to your existing map file, it will cause the entire map to be recreated, so it’s not how much you currently add as how big the entire resultant map is that determines the time needed.

Print
You have to buy extra software to be able to print out. I got the PrintPocketCE and can now print via Infrared, Bluetooth, Wireless network and serial connections.
Problem with mail
My problem was that the Folder which I tried to open contains a damaged File.
My solution was after restoring the backup, to synchronize the mail with my desktop computer and checked the content of my mails.
Missing COM port 1
It is not easy to give you a proper answer. The only thing that I can suggest you is to check TomTom support site. If you use some non Toshiba external device or software the best solution is to check support or FAQ page of device manufacturer.

usually on toshiba you have to download the touch pad file from the manufacturers web site unless there is a disable in the bios
this varies by model...be sure to get the right "utility file" for your particular model
