Logitech X-530 5.1 Channel Speaker System Computer Speakers - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
HOW TO HOOK UP ALL MY X-530 LOGITECH SPEAKER ON MY
You'll only be able to get true surround sound utilizing all the speakers if you have a sound card with multiple outputs (usually color coded as Green, Black, and Orange). Plug the satellite speakers into the subwoofer and run the three input wires (Green, Black, Orange) to your multi-source output.
If you only have one output on your PC (common), you should just connect the green wire and press the "matrix" button on the system. This will just duplicate the sound output into the other channels but is not "real" surround sound.
Hope that helps.
X-530 one speaker not working
this is a problem that i have faced as well it is likely that the cable going in to the jack could be loose and you might need to move it a bit, but in your case i think most likely would be that the input jack on the sub for the speaker is broken in that case you should call up logitech and ask technical support to see what they can do for you should be covered by warranty!
I just bought new speakers
Sorry just doublechecked your board specs. Go to the sound properties in control panel. Click on the configure speakers option. If everything is plugged in right then windows should configure it for you to a 5.1 config. Hope this helps.
Connecting dvd player to logitech x-530
Well, if you have a DVD-ROM, all you need is a video card with a s-video out to connect to your TV and then you could put your DVD player in your room and play your DVD's from your PC.
Another way to do it (without having to buy anything) is to connect the sound of your DVD player to a stereo receiver and then plug the sub into the headphone jacks and the speakers to the sub.
Volume control on the master speaker
If its a rotory type control simply take the rest out or off the pcb if you can and on the side of almost any varable resistor or pot is a value. Look to see if radio shack has that value or check your local electronic parts supply house and solder back into place But you may not get the exact one as they all have differant mechanical standards as the shaft may be too long or it may not fit on the pcb so you will have to drill into the cabinet and mount where theres nothing in the way and hook the wires to the control from where the old control was. Hope this helps good luck
