20 Most Recent Frigidaire FAFS4272LW Washer Questions & Answers

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that when your Frigidaire washer, model# FAFS4272LW, is turned on, you are having trouble with it moving from sensing. Your washer should be sensing how heavy the load is for a little bit and should then move on to the next point of the cycle. If not, I suggest resetting your appliance, by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. Once power is restored, try running any cycle. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Hello Craig, thank you for your post!

I understand that the door of your Frigidaire washer (FAFS42272LW) indicates that it is open and your washer will not operate. Let's try resetting your washer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. It is best to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn on your washer. Select a normal cycle and verify if your washer will start. If yourappliance will not operate then it possibly have a faulty door lock assembly or a communication problem with the control board. I am fairly confident that an authorized service agent will be able to restore your appliance to its normal operating condition. You can often locate a qualified service technician on the manufacturer website.

Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to assist you! - Z

It easy to get out of balance if stuffed too much. The load sensing during the start rolls the clothes back and forth to balance the load. If its packed tight it won't do well.

Hello Michael Johnson - Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, either the drainage hose/pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Contact a professional to move forward accurately to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

Hello - They pump looks like an elbow type connector and it is located underneath the unit on the bottom right. However, if you are trying to replace or repair the pump, contact a professional technician to move forward accurately since the information is not available due to liability reasons.

Make sure the latch is not broken on the door. Retry. If this continues contact a professional so the latch and door assembly can be diagnosed. Also check to see if the door is sagging down at all.

If it beeps during the fill cycle it is possible that there is not enough water going into the machine. Turn the water off and where the hose goes into the machine, there is a bowl shaped gauze screen and a sealing washer. The gauze may be blocked with debris or limescale. Clean with a brush and soak in vinegar or CLR. Also test the tap to the hose by having someone hold the hose in a bucket, whilst you turn the water on.
