Hold down the roll/media button and the info button while turning on. Wait about 10 seconds and release roll/info buttons. You should get an "S" in the upper right corner; this puts you in service mode.
Push menu then scroll down to maintenance then right arrow to head replacement. Then get out of service mode turn off.

Is there a paper roll in it? I have seen them do this as the calculator is trying to feed the roll edge. You can turn printing off, but most need a roll in place. There is a repair video for a similar machine.
