You need to contact support for a password reset. Usually they can offer reset options once they confirm you own the DVR. Call the company that sold it to you.

I had this problem also. So I had to buy a VGA cord to use instead of the HDMI. So I would try a different cord than the one your currently using

push 2 and 4 at the same time then push 3

Then make sure the schedule is set for continuous or motion and each day and time is chosen. On the underside of the keypad, there is a small round hole... this is a DC power plug. you will need to find the correct size plug and then supply between 5v - 8v DC. Then the keypad will be powered and you will be able to open the safe, and of course change the batteries.
