Error code 014.40
Hello Friend
Roku Error code 014.40
If the below error message (Error code 014.50) appears at this point, it means the Roku player cannot join the local network. If you see this red X, try this: Try rebooting the router by unplugging it from the power source, then plugging it back in. Try changing the router's wireless security mode to WPA-PSK (TKIP).
Fix this issue:-
Option 1: Disable Network Pings
Option 2: Update Your Software

How do I correct Ruku loading problems
Hi,
You didn't say exactly what is happening or which Roku model you have, but:
Roku requires registration on their website with a credit card. They will then give you an activation code. This has to done first.
If your Roku can be used with either a wired (Ethernet) cable (Cat 5 / 6) or wireless, you may need to configure your network router to recognize the Roku device. Just a tip - these devices seem to work better with a wired connection rather than wirelessly unless the wireless router is close to the unit. The video can be choppy with wireless units, especially if you have other streaming devices in use.
Note that some of the Roku supported content sites are free but sites like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon require a paid subscription.
