PHASER 8200N ERROR CODE 15,004.45:7829

There are 2,,,, 150 watt halogen lamps in that machine that heat the drum. One or both have blown. How to be sure is, turn the lights off in the room of office the machine is in, turn the machine on, and look into the right side fan slots. After a minute or 2 you should see a glow inside the machine. ( You won't) those lamps are bad. Xerox will want to sell you a new drum heater for over $200,You can go anywhere that sells halogen lamps. Lowes, Home Depot or just about any place that carries lamps will have them. They are less than $15. I recommend , if you can find , the Sylvania lamps that are rated for 130 volts and are vibration protected.
If you want to try and replace them. let me know I will send you written instructions. Should take an hour or so to replace.

Today's error is 15.004,45:207444

Here's a direct quote from the service manual on your error. Basically the is a thermistor (hi-low thermometer) that is defective or sensing that the drum is not heating to the correct temperature in the allotted time. You either have a bad drum heater, thermistor, or the drum to heater gap is way out of specification.

Service Manual Says:

15,004.45:
TCD_THERMISTOR_
SLOW
Most likely cause is a failed drum heater. The head to drum gap should be checked or adjusted

Hope that helps you.

Phaser 8500 reservoir heater took too long 13,266.44 error

Print-head is shot... You'll need a new one, I see power spikes wiping them out quite often, Leaving your Xerox Phaser Solid-Ink printer on all the time usually isnt a problem.. but be smart about it... if a storm is comming or the forcast says lightning, shut it down :)

Xerox phaser 8200

Couple options, If printer will go into diagnostics mode take look at the print-head heater temps, if you cant get it into diagnostics, theres 2 posibilities, either the print-head has failed, or the Electronics module has failed, make sure printer is on its OWN DEDICATED POWER, NO EXTENSION CORDS, NO PLUG STRIPS and make sure its not sharing power with a coffee pot on the same curcuit. (or other power hungry office equiptment) If you get a Xerox Service pro on site he/she will probably have to plug a laptop into the engineering port to tell you whats wrong, if it cant be diagnosed from the front pannel.

Error message

07,005.47 PM_FAULT_DM_CAM_POSITION_ERROR

"The Drum Maintenance home sensor actuated, but not at the expected time. "

Inspect the drum maintenance drawer lift pins for wear. That is the black assembly you remove to clean out excess ink and also holds the maintenance kit roller and IC chip.

There are two arms that stick out on the sides....if they are worn on the bottom, or grooved out, that will cause this error.

08,004.047 error displayed

Odd, that error code isn't listed in the book, however the 08,xxxx errors deal mainly with the Cap/Wipe/Purge assembly not functioning correctly. This is the unit that cleans the printhead. It is very common for it to get stuck to the printhead. These parts are located under the ink loader drawer. C/W/P can be moved by turning the gears on the top RH side of the frame and should be moved to the bottom of the machine. Be careful of the printhead...it is extremely HOT for 30 minutes or so after you turn the machine off...

Printer error 07.022.44.11597

That error code doesn't show up in the service manual. If it is 07,002.44.11597 then here is what the problem is:

07,002.44: PM_FAULT_PROCESS_MOTOR_STALL

Verify process motor operation with the Process Motor diagnostic test. Also exercise processes run with the process motor; transfix, drum maintenance and head tilt. This can be caused by the power control board. The process motor may have more than one task initiated. Reset all solenoids and the pressure roller prior to cycling power.

The Process Drive Gears may be worn out and need replaced, or at the very least they may need to be re-timed.

Make sure you plug this printer directly into a wall outlet and not into a surge protector or multi-outlet strip...

Where in Belgium Europe can I find Heating halogen ligths

If you are able to do the repair yourself, then remove a lamp from the preheater assembly and look at the voltage and wattage on the bulb itself...on some there is also a lamp part number.

you can also order a repair kit from e-bay. The same lamps are used in the Phasers 840, 850, 860 & 8200

Here are 2 links that have what you need (if the internal voltages for the printer are the same in europe as in usa):

Error Code 08.001.44.24947 (Phaser 8200)

8,001.44 Cap/Wipe/Purge assembly can't find home position:

This error usually shows up if the machine isn't turned off properly. The C/W/P assembly keeps the printhead clean, and if it is in a cleaning cycle when the power goes off, it will stick to the printhead, which makes it difficult for the motor to move it to home position.

Printhead and C/W/P are located directly under the ink loader (where you put in the cubes of ink). The gears to move the C/W/P are on the RH top of the frame and you should be able to move the assembly up and down by hand (with the power off, of course !) Move the C/W/P all the way to the bottom, reassemble the covers and see if the error goes away.
