Makes a white strip in the left side of paper

You should do a basic clean from the control panel menu a few times, do a light stripes page and see what jets are bad, and if needed try substituting the bad jets. If after trying cleaning and substituting you still see light stripes you will need to replace the printhead. Here are 2 videos I made that show you how to do all of that. Good luck, hope this helps!

Black not printing correctly. It prints yellow

check the black cartridge, it may be out. If it is ok, print a test page to see it will print black. If it does not print black, there may be toner spill blocking the black toner sensor. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at https://www.6ya.com/expert/joe_8b8c2cd6ce148309

The printer demand to load

Did you replace with New toner or Old? Well, for this printer, it's not possible to reset the cartridge chip either.
Follow the steps below;
Remove all the cartridges, drum, papers from the tray, turn off the printer, disconnect every cables like usb, power cord, network cable (if any). Leave it for few minutes. You can do some cleaning while it takes some rest, like contact points (the points where cartridges chip and printer come into contact/the metal terminal on the printer). Use spirit/alcohol/acetone with cotton or soft brush to clean them. Also clean all the heads/contact points on the cartridges/toner and drum. Press all the buttons on the printer several times to discharge any static current.

Now power on the printer without anything installed except the power cord connected to it. Leave it for few minutes (5 minutes will be sufficient). Again restart the machine, now you can connect the usb cable or the ethernet cable, install the drum, cartridges, (I would suggest you to install the drum while the printer is off). Check whether this helps or not.
If the problem persists, please let me know. I'll help you resetting your printer.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Printer started having an inch wide muddled streak

This web blog addressed the similar problem (not as big a streak, but sounds similar) and one person had success with changing the ink, while others say generic inks do more damage than good. Read the blog, since it does explain about 3rd party inks voiding the warranty.
http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/inkjet/35184
This .pdf manual page describes a problem with streaking. My Adobe update messed up my ability to download it and see it, but here is the address:
https://www.office.xerox.com/.../8400_85XX_Service_Manual.pdf
I couldn't view it, but perhaps it will have an answer for you. Googling the problem, I saw that it has happened to others. Perhaps if you can download the manual description, it will have the answer for you.
Good luck, hope this helps!

Lines on print. There's are three lines on picture

Have ou gone into your menus. Into troubleshooting, then image quality.
You will want to run both the eliminate light stripes and eliminate smears procedures. that will purge the print head, blow air through the jets and hopefully resolve the problem. I do believe the 8550 has a Jet Substitutin procedure where you can do a workaround and make other jets make up for the light areas.
here are some directions, Will forward more

  1. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button on the Control Panel to select [Troubleshooting] on the Display Screen, and then press the [OK] button.
  2. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Print Quality Problems], and then press the [OK] button.
  3. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Troubleshooting Print Quality Page], and then press the [OK] button.
  4. Evaluate the 'Light Stripes Test' page for missing printhead jets, such as missing Cyan, Magenta, Yellow or Black color bars. The 'Light Stripes Test' page is the last page of the Troubleshooting Print Quality Page that printed.

WARNING: To avoid injury, do not touch the sharp metal strip attached to the clear rubber wiper blade in the Maintenance Kit.

  5. Use a clean lint-free cloth or a new paper coffee filter to gently clean the maintenance unit's clear rubber wiper blade, use only a wiping motion across the entire length of the wiper blade, and then empty the waste tray. A dirty maintenance kit wiper blade can cause white lines and weak or missing printhead jets.

  6. 8500-wiper-blade-clean.jpg

  7. Repeat step 3 to reprint the Troubleshooting Print Quality Pages. If there are no missing or partially missing color bars then the print quality problem has been resolved. If there are missing or partially missing color bars then the printhead cleaning procedure will need to be performed. Continue with the next section.
To clean the printhead using the basic eliminate light stripes procedure:
  1. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button on the Control Panel to select [Troubleshooting] on the Display Screen, and then press the [OK] button.
  2. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Print Quality Problems], and then press the [OK] button.
  3. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Eliminate Light Stripes], and then press the [OK] button.
  4. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Basic], and then press the [OK] button. The printer will perform a head cleaning, which will take about five minutes. The printer will then print a cleaning page and a light stripes test page.
  5. Repeat steps 1 - 4 one more time. If there are no weak or missing jets then the print quality problem has been resolved. If there are still weak or missing jets after two basic light stripe cleanings, continue with step 6.

NOTE: Do not try the Advanced Eliminate Light Stripes Cleaning mode without performing two basic cleanings first.

To clean the printhead using the advanced eliminate light stripes procedure:

  6. Press the [Up] or [Down] arrow button to select [Advanced], and then press the [OK] button.
  7. Select the missing jet color and number. If necessary, check the light stripes test page to determine the color and jet number of the missing jet.

NOTE: Only perform the advanced light stripe cleaning once. If weak or missing jets still persist, continue with step 8.

  8. Print the Troubleshooting Print Quality Page. Evaluate the Light Stripes Test page for missing printhead jets, such as missing Cyan, Magenta, Yellow or Black color bars. If necessary, perform the basic eliminate light stripes procedure one more time. If the Advanced Eliminate Light Stripes procedure does not resolve the weak or missing jets, perform the Enable Jet Substitution Mode. See the Related Items below.

Red light is on Printer will not work after moving

Someone printed in color. I know in the last 2 printers I had , the printers had a feature that wouldn't let you print if the other inks went below a limit. I think its supposed to make sure printer quality is high. My guess is to install the cyan cartridge and see if you can print now.

For future maybe you could get an all black cartridge to alleviate this in the future.

Xerox 8550 Light Stripe after Jet Substitution & Muddy Yellow

Time to buy another printer. The Print Head will cost you 800-900 plus the labor to install. This printer is a crime that isn't prosecuted. This should be a $100 part and they make it more expensive than a new machine. Don't even try to make Xerox eat it. It will cost you more in sleep. Look to another manufacturer.

Xerox Phaser 8550 Maintenace Kit is stuck in the

If you remove the right side cover, you can operate the process drive gearbox with a straight-blade screwdriver on the end of the shaft (bottom of printer right in front of maintenance kit). This is the end of the drum maintenance camshaft. Rotate clockwise slowly. It's possible that the cams have cracked and rotated on the shaft. This is the weak point on these printers. If so, they may not be in sync. Good luck.
