You just have to do is jsut adjust the size of the print you are taking. For eg. If you are printing the paper of A4 in a legal size of paper than the above error will be raised. Just adjust A4 to legal(As per the example. You have to choose as per your own need.)

Print head replacement and resistance setting

Check the label on the back of the printer.
If the configuration has either 10500-2xxx-xxxx or 10500-3xxx-xxxx, you don't have to set the resistance manually, the printer sets it automatically.

Could you please be a little more specific? do you even use a black ink ribbon? If not the printer should be set for thermal direct in the front panel. If you do have the ribbon installed then power down the printer and hold down the pause and feed keys. While holding them down turn on the printer and count to 6 and let go of pause and feed.

Changed the ribbon, but the labels are to light.

The DARKNESS setting controls the amount of ink released to the label. The 105 has a range of 1-30, 1 is the lightest - 30 is the darkest. The setting used will depend on the combination of label / ribbon used. There is no "correct" number, always try to use the lowest setting with acceptable print quality.

The DARKNESS can be adjusted from the front panel by pressing SETUP and changing or DARKNESS can be controlled from the software or printer driver. The printer driver or software usually overrides the setting in the printer.

Hope that helps !

How to calibrate the label & ribbon sensors on Zebra printers

One of the most common problems with Zebra Xi, XiII, XiIII, Xi4, and 105S,105Se, 105SL series of printers is sensing or proper advancement of the labels. The printer has two sensors, top and bottom, that must be properly aligned with each other. If you are not sure they are aligned correctly, see my other tip on how to align the media sensors.
The label passes between these two sensors. The idea is that the label blocks the light between the two sensors and the gap between each label does not block the light. So the labels advance based on light, no light, light, no light. Note that the red light you see in the “throat” of the printer when you raise the printhead is not the sensor being discussed here. That red light is a “reflective” or “mark” sensor and is used for a different purpose.
Sometimes the labels are on a backing (liner) that is almost as opaque as the label itself. If this happens, then not enough light passes through the liner when the gap passes under the sensor. The printer loses the ability to find top-of-form. We can recalibrate the printer sensors however to adjust to this new liner. My video at the link below will walk you through step-by-step on how to calibrate the sensitivity of the media sensor. The ribbon sensor is recalibrated at the same time. Once this is done, the printer should now easily advance from label to label. The procedure may have to be performed each time for different thicknesses of liners or backing.

Increasing Speed on Zebra 105sl

If you are refering to print speed, from the label format, press F5 to bring up the LABEL & SETUP PROPERTIES. Click on LABEL OPTIONS and print speed will be the first choice.

If you are refering to how fast data is sent to the printer, then that depends on the connection to the PC and whether you are using true-type fonts or not.

Hope that helps !

Zebra 105SL thermal Label Printer prints blank

Some possible reasons:
1. The darkness is not set high enough for the paper/ribbon combination
2. The ribbon is on backwards. Zebra uses coated-side out ribbons so the ribbon should be coming off the right side of the roll if you're looking at it from the side.

Hope that helps !

Will print on sticker labels, but not on thick price ticket paper

If you are not using ribbon, the tickets are probably not Direct thermal. Try using a Ribbon and see if it works

I am trying to change the printing speed from 2

If you change the speed setting on the printer, print a label, and the speed setting reverts to a different setting then the print speed is being changed from the printer driver.

Hope that helps !

How to stop calibrating soo much?

There is no way to get around the recalibration for different sizes of label, you must do it at every different label height, The callibration only sets the label height/length, so try doing the same length labels in sequence.
