Check that the power cable is good, and the data cable. If they are good, your drive died and needs to be replaced.

NTLDR is the NT loader that loads the kernel. You may have a corrupt boot record. Re install windows is the simplest solution. You may be able to do a windows repair if you have the original OS install disk.

Hitachi 500 GB Sata Hard disk device driver
You just connect it up, and boot from your system disk, and your computer will install the necessary software for you. You must be connected to the internet and this must not be your system disk (unless you are booting from CD or an eternal device)

Hitachi external usb hard disk cant connect to pc
Personally, I think you really lucked out that it worked after being dropped. Then to be able to use it for two (2) more years is very
exceptional for Hitachi drives. If you can hold the drive in your hand
while "trying" to boot up....you "might" be able to gently rock the drive
(face/label up) side-to-side and get the PC to recognise & maybe
even read it. Have a flash/thumb drive ready "if" you succeed in
seeing and reading any data on this - chances are you'll only get
this 1 last chance to get your info. Good Luck.
