Have a problem, not with the DVD, which is
you need to change the setting to suit the tv. if you using it with hdmi lead. you need to put it on aerial lead to tv and change the setting in the samsung setting. could be the setting are in 1080p and your tv does not have this function so change it to 1080i or 720i if the tv is not able to take 1080i.if don't have arial port there is scart or and picture out put on the back of the samsung you can use to fit to the tv.

Needf drivers
you dont need drivers. (as a general statement about HDD)1: what system.2; what OS3: what HDD, use a real part number, Hitachi made 1000s.

My hitachi pc with windows xp sp 3 has lost sound
If your computer came with a
motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it
Click start control panel administrative tools computer management device
manager scroll to sound video and game controllers you might see a yellow
question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers.
Click start control panel sounds and
audio volume advanced speakers make sure you have selected the
(appropriate speakers) also audio
you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have selected the correct speaker
settings.
Click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might
be a tick in the mute box untick it.
If his does not fix the problem
Click start control panel sounds and
audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume.
You can change your settings there
you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar for any further volume
control settings you will need to right click on the speaker volume
icon
system select adjust volume
Click start control panel sounds and
audio volume advanced speakers select the appropriate speakers
from the drop down list or navigate
to the device manager scroll to system devices + to expand system speaker right
click properties then select use this device (enable) also you might check the speaker
plug/outlets they are usually at the side of the laptop.

Optical drives can use any driver loaded by Windows. Try booting in Safe Mode by pressing F8 during boot. Check Device Manager and View for hidden devices. Delete any extra if not all DVD drives. Windows will auto re-install with reboot.You could also reseat the drive.You may have bigger problems if this does not resolve the problem.
