Just shows initial screen with palm tree . Does not respond to touch. Flashes to white screen with small image of tomtom and to black screen with word tomtom along side

Update tomtom gps free

You can update software for free but not the MAPS unless you opted for a model with lifetime maps. Go to the link and register and see if you have Lifetime Maps.
