Nortorn interner security 2006 uninstall

You have to pull it out by the roots, literally, .

Go into a DOS shell and find the directory and wipe it clean.

You may have to use some ancient dos commands to make some of the parts visible, like ATTRIB

You may have to ATTRIB +R +S +A +H (Read System Archive Hidden) to make your deletions work.

Now, I have not exactly spelled out how this works, intentionally, in the event that if you don't feel comfortable working at DOS level with line commands, you should turn the work over physically to someone who does feel comfortable. If you understood what I wrote above then go ahead and DIY!

Error

Norton, like most AV vendors has a tool on their site that you can download to uninstall the product completely when normal means don't work. Apparently there is a big need for it.

Norton 360 is freezing my computer

yeah its symantec its rubbish - get a refund, un install it and get avg free or avast ( free for home use and only needs to be registered once every 18 months or so ) and both are very good - there are plenty of better free alternatives.
I would suggest backing up your data and re installing your operating system and drivers ( excluding symantec )

How to stop liveupdate popping up on monitor everyday

I recommend letting it update daily as the threats are coming daily as well; if you insist, there is a menu option (run from an icon either in the Program Files\Norton Internet Security folder or by double-clicking the icon in the system notification area and clicking on Norton Antivirus, middle tab, 2nd group down. You can disable it completely if you want.

I want to renew my Norton Internet security but I

We would not have your Credit Card info on file. As long as you buy direct threw Norton's you should be ok they have a secure check out.

Also just a tip, Norton's is by far NOT the best internet security suite.
Try something such as ZoneAlarm Security Suite or Bit Defender those two are by far better.

Transfer of programs

That is always the issue. Except you have a crack of those softwares, you can't use them in more than the licensed specification. Forward the downloaded software to [email protected] I'll try a crack for you.

Norton security does not stop what it should

If you have another computer system around, remove the hard drive and plug the drive into the other system. Scan the hard drive using a virus scanner.

Some viruses are difficult to remove otherwise.

I would recommend Kaspersky as an Antivirus system and proactive scanner. It has not failed me yet. It has a 30 day trial (I think its 30 days) that you can try.

It helps the antivirus system, to have your computer free of infections (viruses, spyware, etc.) before installing any antivirus software.

Installing norton anti-virus without internet connection

Yes it is possible.
To install full version you need either to purchase a disk or to purchase the download from Symantech.

If you have purchased the download or if you want to install the trial version download, just copy the install file onto an usb memory stick.

Plug the memory stick with norton install file onto your computer with no internet and run the installer from usb stick.

This will install norton with no need for the Internet.

If you buy nortom full version you may need to validate installation by phone, but that is not complicate.

You can download Norton from one of the websites below:

MSI System components

If it refers to an MSI System component then it is likely a windows installer problem.
Go to the Windows Installer 4.5 Redistributable download page.

Download the Microsoft Windows Installer installation file depending on your version of Windows:

For Windows XP: Download the WindowsXP-KB942288-v3-x86.exe file.

For Windows Vista 32-bit: Download the Windows6.0-KB942288-v2-x86.msu file.
For Windows Vista 64-bit: Download the Windows6.0-KB942288-v2-x64.msu file.

Save the file to the Windows desktop.
