When I turn it on I have only a vertical line in

I bet the line is left to right in the middle of the screen! This is a vertical circuit problem. The bumping tells me a solder connection/s on the output ic are broken loose or poorly soldered. It is a chip (I will attach a photo of a typical chip--yours will not be exactly like it but you should be able to locate it).The part in the photo has the generic number (LA...... which is one designed by Sanyo but used in many different sets) The chip will usually have between 7 and 13 pins. All someone has to do (unplug set and remove cover) is take it apart, gain access to the main board (it may slide out or if open view of the bottom just turn set on its side after you locate the part---part should be fairly easy to find as it is always bolted to a small metal plate to cool it.Take a good look at the pins from the bottom and resolder all of them.9 out of ten times a 10 minute job.if questions or need help let me know with a comment here.

Need help hooking up the

There should be a set of cords with yellow, white, and red AV jacks on both ends, or a set of blue, green, and red cords for HD. You only need to use one set. On the VCR side, plug the jacks into the terminals that correspond with their colors. Make sure that you plug them into the terminal set marked "Output," not the set marked "Input." On the TV side, plug each into their corresponding colors in one of the sets marked "Input." To access your VCR, turn on both systems and press your "input" button, either on your remote or your TV, until you see the VCR on the screen. The input number should match the one next to where you plugged the cords into the TV.

Tv -dvd combo tv plays

Hello
Its Sled motor have damaged. Sled motor is one which spins the disc inside it after loading. it is a high speed stepper motor. It can be replaced. To replace it you have to open your combo and take out its disc mechanism out. You have to disassemble it to take the sled motor out and shoud refit it. If you haven't sufficent experience in this work; never try to do this. Get it repaired by any experience service person. If you have experience, you can do it by yoursef at home. OK
