Don't know if the activation has to verify via Cisco's server but last I heard Cisco no longer supports the product. Since you have a key I don't see why it shouldn't work. You probably need to contact them for help.

If you purchased this from a licensed retailer, you should have received a key for installation. If you got this from some other source, it may be an illegally obtained copy of the software, and you need to buy a key for it, from the manufacturer. It is against the Fixya terms of use agreement, to supply serial keys or codes for unlicensed software, and any member who does can have their membership revoked. It is piracy, plain and simple.
