Kodak EasyShare M583 Digital Camera Questions & Answers
Need software for easyshare M583 and kodak support says it no longer has it
You don't need any special software in order to use your camera. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo cataloging program such as
Picasa.
There is a circle within the lens and when I take pictrues, there is a white shadow circle in the pictures. How do I prevent this from happening?
If the pictures taken are slightly misty, using a soft lens tissue (or spectacle cleaning cloth) wipe the lens delicately in one direction until the 'circle' has gone. Don't 'huff' on the lens as this will cause condensation INSIDE the lens.
If this fails to fix the problem, it may well be condensation build up inside the lens. If you have a sachet of silicone crystals (like the wee bags that come with a new pair of shoes), place the camera inside an airtight container with the sachet. Leave for minimum of 12hrs. This should absorbs any if not ALL of the condensation inside the camera.
Replacement lcd screen
The most difficult part will be to buy a new screen. I guess here are list of phone repair shops, that could do the job, but buying spare parts from Kodak is a challenge.
Pictures taken have horizontal lines on it
hello my camera is CANON CP1267 has a problem when turn it all right but the problem is when I want to take a picture appears error memory card that I can do tell me urgent thanks
Kodak m583 will not delete pictues when you use the trash can button
To the other so-called solutions: your "solutions" sucked. Here's how to do it: Click the "settings" icon on the screen. You get there by clicking the sides of the silver square surrounding the "ok" button (if there are no icons on the screen then click the "disp" button). Then in settings arrow down to the option that says "safe mode" (near the bottom) and change it's value from "Yes" to "No". Then the "format" will become available (2nd option from the last). Format the internal memory. Tada! Clean slate.
Kodak Z981 -- mode dial issue
I have a Z981 myself. I just set my camera as you did (to "A") but did not experience the issue you mention?
Just to be clear, remember that setting the camera to "A" means "Aperture priority", meaning that you can control the lens aperture (with the "jog dial" on the top of the camera) and the camera will automatically set the shutter speed to create a proper exposure. "A" does NOT mean automatic exposure control. You must use "P" (Programmed) mode to make the camera make all the decisions about shutter speed and lens aperture.
I am including a web link to the User Guide for the Z981. You might want to revisit the Guide to make sure you are using the correct settings for your pictures.
BTW, I like my Z981 quite a bit, especially the zoom. I've taken some great pictures with it.
