What setting is for sports

That depends on the sport, the location, and what you want the pictures to say to the viewer. You won't necessarily shoot a daytime football game outdoors the same way as a basketball game indoors. In general you're going to want a fast shutter speed to freeze the action. To get the fastest shutter speed possible, use the Aperture Priority mode by turning the mode dial to "A" then select the largest aperture by using cursor-up/down to get the smallest f/number. Having said that, sometimes you might want a slower shutter speed to convey a sense of motion. Select Shutter Priority by turning the mode dial to "S" and use cursor-up/down to select the desired shutter speed.

Finepix gives message to turn

It may be your lens cap. If the lens cap is on, the lens cannot extend, so the camera will give you notice to turn the camera on and then off again (assuming you know that you must remove the lens cap before turning on again. If your lens cap is off, check to see if there is anything else blocking the lens or impeding it from extending.

Trouble transferring photos to my laptop.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

How do i get photgraphs from my fujifilm finpix S to my mac book air?

ALTERNATE WAY TO TRANSFER PHOTOS TO COMPUTER If your photos are stored on the memory card, then remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into an USB memory card reader. Connect this USB memory card reader and memory card into the USB port of your working computer. Your computer will see this as an USB Mass Storage Device or an external storage device; you can then open the folder on the memory card and copy the photos to your computer. Memory card reader is a handy device and is inexpensive. You can copy photos from other cameras and you can also download photos off your memory card to someone else's computer without the need of installing any programs.

How can i date stamp my s4000

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Fujifilm s4000 dpi

Dots per inch is an output specification and is meaningless to a camera. If you take a picture and make both a 4x6 print and an 8x10 print from it, you'll have two prints of exactly the same picture but with completely different DPI numbers. The camera inserts a value into this field simply because one is required. If you want to change it, you can do it at the time of printing using the photo-printing program.

We have no software for any device here at Fixya, you can get the software at the FUJI Finepix support site only. It is copyrighted and no other site will likely have it. I am not sure that they make it for the Mac operating system, you will need to check by the model number of the camera.
