If you took them from your PC to the device, it might have only made shortcuts to the files. Check and see if the files are larger than just a few Kb instead of hundreds of Kb.

Down towards bottom click on MP826 picture box which will take you to http://cobyusa.com/?p=prod&prod_num_id=428&pcat_id=2001. Just underneath the page-wide picture box at top will be some folder tabs. Pick "Downloads". The second of the two choices is "User Manual". Right Click on it and a Save As Dialog box will come up. Just save the file "MP826_MN.pdf" to your computer. It covers MP826-2G, MP826-4G. and MP826-8G. So far everything is generally the same as MP828; which they don't make a manual for. It will at least get you up and running and it being so close to the same is why Colby did not go to the expense of making a MP828 specific user's manual.Hope It Helps,DoomedBlues3

If the track name contains a space or punctuation at the begining it will change where the track appears. If you used a program like ID3 TagIT (free download) it would automatically check and rename the songs, it will also add missing info like artist or album.
