The manual appears on a site called seniorpast. Not sure I trust the download though. It is a $35 unit, mine was $2,000!

Winterizing is fairly easy. You can put the lower unit in a mix of water and antifreeze and run it to get all the water out and replaced with antifreeze. Next you can either spray fogging oil in and add fuel stabilizer to your gas tank.

Check the transducer angle to be sure it is pointing directly down and not tilted. If that doesn't help, contact the manufacturer for support and possible parts.

So with the throttle closed, held closed by hand, does it still over-revs as soon as you start it up? If that's the case, disconnect the top spark plug wire and restart it, if it doesn't over rev, the issue is the upper crankshaft seal. This is a fairly difficult job so I would suggest seeking out a marine mechanic unless you are very mechanically inclined.

Probably needs the cable adjusted. Put the lower unit on and adjust the cable per the instructions for your lower unit.

Sounds like your engine is flooding when in the trim down position. You might need new fuel jets in the carbs.

Yes, disconnect the pistons and make sure the gears are in forward. You can lift (tilt) the lower unit up. I also suggest taking the pistons and tie them in an up position otherwise one or both pistons can extend. This is not a big problem, just you will need to cycle the pistons in to get them to align so you can reattach them.

Will it go up? Sometimes the travel lock engages and it won't go down.

The engine runs off the magneto. Only uses the battery to start. Everything else runs off the battery. If the starter doesn't engage, it's most likely the battery circuit. Remove and clean the battery terminals, tighten and try again. If unsuccessful, try another battery.

It is an old unit and was $450 new!

Hi, unfortunately, the manufactures of this Radiotelephone did not make the manual available anywhere online. I went further searching for you and couldn't find any. My advice is that you contact the manufacturers of this product directly, and request for the user manual. Having said that, a search for the manufacturer turns up nothing. They may have gone out of business. If you are going to use it, make sure you get a license to transmit.

Could be a number of things such as, the cable needs adjusting, there is something blocking the shift cable from going into reverse all the way, the gears are somehow not aligned to mesh into reverse.

Classic case of fuel starvation.

Do you have old fuel lines and are using ethanol gas? If so, the ethanol breaks down the lining of the lines, so much so to block them or severely reduce flow.

Check fuel filter if you have one.

Check the arrow on the primer bulb is facing in the direction of the engine.

Finally, remove and clean the carburetor and jets.
