The A7 uses MMC and SD cards. MMC cards are all but extinct, so look for SD cards. Make sure you get an SD card, 2GB or smaller, and not a higher-capacity SDHC card.

Probably not. Water damage is THE most damaging event for electronics, especially cameras. Sorry :(

If you used a voltage 3 times the required voltage then you have probably damaged the camera beyond repair. There may be a protection fuse on the circuit board inside but locating and fixing this would require an experienced electronics technician. i wouldn't hold out too much hope of getting this camera repaired.

This is a symtom of weak batteries.

Please remember that the alkaline type of batteries will not last. The lithium type while more expensive, dollar for dollar, will outlast them.
A cheaper alternative is to get a charger and Li-Ion rechargeables.
