Samsung Digimax V700 Digital Camera - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Digimax v700 saying no card when there is a card in the camera
That Lock is to Read and delete or just read.... sorta like the old Floppies had.... where you cold read them and then delete or format or whatever or just read and nothing else.
um...... Just remembered.... with SD cards it also enables the card to be read.......
Try making sure the Card is Open... that is to be read.... and if it is and you still have a problem try formatting.... preferably in Camera but a Computer will do....
Keep us posted how you get on
When i turn on my
is it new? if its not , maybe there's a problem on your battery, check the status of your battery if its full charge or not or is it charging when you plug the charging adapter
I have been given a DigiMAX V800 and have no PC
Consider NOT connecting the camera the the computer.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

From what I gather - you are using a Samsung digimax 700 - here is a link to a site where you can download the manual.

(you need to have adobe reader to read this file - if you don't it is a free download at adobe.com)
Playback mode is stalling
This is due to problem with the memory card. Back up all taken pictures. format the memory card with PC or camera itself and restart the camera. check if there is a problem. if there is a problem, ensure that if is free from dust or humidity.
There may be problem with camera software. Better is to take it to a camera hardware engineer.
Samsung V700 Movie Problem
I think you might need to change your video viewing software. Try quiktime or Realplayer. If this does not work, look on the net for compatible software so that you can view your movies. Hope this helps.
Cannot Record Videos
I would try changing the memorised info that you put into your My1 settings and see if that helps. I just got my V700 today and the first thing I did was put my preferences into My1. I don't really know why your camera is transferring this to your video setting but try removing your presettings in My1.
Lens(?) issue
Hi,
your problem is relating to focus. It is not the right way to hit the camera against hand to get clear picture. It may cause serious problem. Actually your camera is not able to focus, it may be because of mechanical jamm of lens. Camera needs service.
I suggest you to go to nearest repair shop or Samsung shop. They can handle it better.
good luck.
Cannot see Mpeg4 on my IMac
Use VLC Media Player:
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
This is a 'universal' media player, so you can now, if you want, use just this player all on its own for all your videos of whatever file extension. The required codecs are included in the download. Nevertheless I'm still keeping Windows Media Player 10, QuickTime player, RealOne player and DivX player for the odd occasions when one of these has to be deployed. So far, no such an occasion has arisen!
By the way, there is a dearth of V700 video on the net. So, please let us know your assessment of the V700 videos once you get it working on the VLC Media Player.
How do I use the focus
be sure your lense and autofocus sensors are clean first thing.. then push the take picture button half way and it will autofocus. Pressing hte take picture button fully then will snap the picture.
