Tivo won't know this until you tell it.... you need to change your network settings on your Tivo to reflect the new SSID and password...........

Check your cable for damages and/or Contact Tivo if you still have a warranty.

Press the TIVO button. This should return you to the main screen. If this doesn't work, the box is most likely hung up. Unpolug the power cord, count to 10 and plug it back in. It will take a few minutes to boot back up, but this should fix the problem.

If you are pulling them from an S2 Nero Vision will convert them automatically from the .TIVO file to a DVD player readable DVD. Works gread and been doing it for years.

You could have a faulty power supply going out...

Do a complete CLEAR and ERASE.
Repeat guided setup.

Replace the power supply.
Sometimes, it will just have enought power for the LED and Fan. But not enough for booting up the drive correctly.

Make sure you are using the IR cable to control the Cable Box.
Make sure that you have already done a guided setup again from the tivo box.

I re-did the guided setup in the Tivo under Messages & Settings/Restart-Reset System/Restart menu section in Tivo. Once I did that, it cleared this issue, even though I didn't have to change any of my settings thru this guided setup. I tried a reset alone first, but that did not fix it. Only this fixed it. We had lost both power and cable during a recent tree fall in a storm, and when both were restored, this problem started. I have a cable coax directly in the back of the TV (no cable box/IR etc) and the system is on a home wireless network. I actually have 2 identical Tivo's in the house set up the same way but only one had this problem. The other worked no different after the outage.

It could be your tuner, can you/have you tried changing to another channel?

It's most likely your hard drive. You can do it yourself and get the software and hard drive or buy a pre-configured kit.

It could be the power supply/motherboard.

It's extremely hard to say without seeing the unit in person. A great place to send it is CCS in Indiana. They'll test it and replace/upgrade the drive (if you choose that option).

For some reason your Tivo is tripping the internal breaker of your TV. Check the cables and see that they are not damaged and are connected properly (all the cables that hook up to the Tivo). If you have a spare set of cables, try them to see if the TV still turns off.

It's most likely your hard drive. It can be replaced by doing it yourself or by using a pre-configured kit that you just put in and reprogram your settings and season passes. You will LOSE EVERYTHING on your drive, and if you are having trouble with your drive, there is no way to salvage any recordings off of it.
