MP3 Player Malfunction

Your playlist shouldnt have been erased as when u update from one music program to another all of the music files ie wav, mp3, ect is suppose to redirect to the new proggy unless you tell it not to as some do ask you if you wanna associate older files with the new proggy . If you say no it wont erase them so they are there somewhere on the putre. What you should do is try to do a search for all your file formats one at a time such as in search type .MP3 do a search Type .wav ect ect Try this and if there not there they have be erased and wont recover them unless you wanna spend big bucks on data recovery and thats not feasable. Now with the player you sure the unit is operating properly as music or data just dosent dissappear into thin air?? You may have a crack in the memory curcuit or a defect in the processor??. Unfortunatly its not worth on most of these types of players . good Luck

How can i get the surround sound to work.

You need to get an HDMI cable going from your Cable Box to the Surround Sound system. If you are low on HDMI ports, you can RGB cables for Video.

Your quote: " I have a HDMI cable plugged into the TV and the Cable box." move that cable to Surround Sound and Cable Box, and use RGB cable or HDMI to go from Cable box to TV!

If your Surround Sound has no HDMI, use a Fibre Optic to go Cable to Surround. It will work Great!

Good Luck!

RCA th1611-A mp3 player not recognized by software

This item is a USB2.0 device. Older computers use USB1.0 and new computers USB3.0. Depending on your computer age, this may not be recognized. I suggest you make certain all USB device drivers are up-to-date.

Audiovox model sts25-b DVD player home theater, I plug it in but it won't power up. Is there a fuse inside that I can check?

I don't have access to a service manual for this. It appears made by Alco Electronics and branded as AudioVox. Here is a contact page Alco Electronics. I cannot give a definite answer regarding the fuse. At least some models of this type of audio equipment do have fuses. Contact Us Alco Electronics Ltd Also a contact for Vox International. You might try this contact before that of Alco. http://www.voxxintl.com/global/contact-us/ I gather you would be looking for a service manual or a repair facility or support. I simply do not find a service manual online for this but you might try the above corporations for such a manual. Otherwise, you will have to weigh the replacement value of the machine versus the possible repair cost. Here is a user manual: http://audio.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/audiovox/dvd_home_theatre_system_cdrrw_cd_playback.html

What universal remote control will work as a replacement For my audiovox dvd home theater system model#dv1100

To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability. Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have. Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Check this site too. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops. Type in the "brand name" of your device, in the search box [at the top right] of the display window to get gathered all the related posts to this brand devices. It will make surf easy.

Video format

The video format is the way the video is made. It can be made is many formats, such as VGA, HD, etc, the problem comes in the way it is viewed. On a computer its windows media, or for apple it quicktime, it is all in the way it is made for viewing. MP3 is generally a format used for audio. Just do an internet search there is plenty on it.

I recently purchased an Audiovox

The reason of your problem is that your local mains frequency is 50 Hz and when you use 230V to 120V converter, this simple device can not convert frequency only the voltage. Your clock is synchronized to the mains frequency which is 50 Hz instead of 60 Hz and the clock goes slowly. It is late (60-50)/60 ---> 10 minutes in every hour.
I am sorry but I think your problem can not be fixed. ( It would be possible to convert the frequency but the cost of this kind of device would be higher than the value of this Audiovox)

Thanks.

I've already wrote my question, my audiovox

Hi hazel_winton,
This is very common not only in your unit but almost dvd player. The symptom is came from the faulty spindle motor. You have to take apart the unit to test the spindle motor with an analog multimeter even I've suspected this was already faulty just to confirmed. Using the ohmmeter set in X1, check the spindle motor even connected in the lens assembly. While in testing, good motor will spin while bad motor will not spin....
After you confirmed that the motor was faulty, check for the replacement in your local electronics supply. Bring this motor as sample to get the exact replacement. To have an idea click this link for more info on how to replaced the motor. This is my repaired portable DVD player, almost the same steps of replacing your motor...
If you don't have necessary tools and test instrument and can't troubleshoot the unit yourself, I would advice you to look for a qualified technician to do the job for you.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.
