Tv wont turn but makes clicking noise
There is short circuited component/s at its main board. Power supply regulator section is working fine. You have to check for fault at its horizontal scan output section circuit. Check the horizontal scan output transistor, and check. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here.

When I turn it on I have only a vertical line in
I bet the line is left to right in the middle of the screen! This is a vertical circuit problem. The bumping tells me a solder connection/s on the output ic are broken loose or poorly soldered. It is a chip (I will attach a photo of a typical chip--yours will not be exactly like it but you should be able to locate it).The part in the photo has the generic number (LA...... which is one designed by Sanyo but used in many different sets) The chip will usually have between 7 and 13 pins. All someone has to do (unplug set and remove cover) is take it apart, gain access to the main board (it may slide out or if open view of the bottom just turn set on its side after you locate the part---part should be fairly easy to find as it is always bolted to a small metal plate to cool it.Take a good look at the pins from the bottom and resolder all of them.9 out of ten times a 10 minute job.if questions or need help let me know with a comment here.
