Audiovox AVP7000 VCR - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
This is an easy one for you
I am looking forward to my boosted rating from you!
Solution: The tape not spooling back into the cassette is caused by a fault with the idler or clutch mechanisms. There are usually felt clutches associated with the idler gear and felt clutches on the take up and supply reels. On many VCR's the idler gear engages a direct drive gear for FF & FR, whereas for cue & review the idler gear engages a gear that drives the spool via a felt clutch, the same gear that is used for play. During play, however, the capstan/pinch roller pulls the tape through the mechanism with the take up reel pulling in the slack tape. Check for a slipping felt clutch mechanism. A little trick that works well, remove the offending spool and most spools can be popped apart, use some violin bow resin and carefully work the resin into the felt. You will find that the resin restores the lost grip of the felt with lasting results. Violin resin can also be dissolved into alcohol to provide a gloss finish over reworked solder joints.

That is 'dew' as in wet. Do you have it in a warm, dry
location? This time of year they can attract condensation if the
VCR is in a cold place.
Hope Ya Fix it!
Blue light on antenna isn't turning on remote start won't work.
It's possible that the issue with your Audiovox pursuit PRO9056c remote start system is related to the antenna or its connection. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the antenna connection: Make sure the antenna is properly connected to the control module of the remote start system. You may need to remove the panel where the antenna is mounted to access the wiring and connections. Check the wiring for any signs of damage or corrosion, and make sure the connections are tight.
- Check the fuse: The remote start system may have a fuse that is responsible for powering the antenna. Check the fuse to make sure it is not blown or damaged.
- Reset the system: Try resetting the remote start system by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, then reconnecting it. This may help reset the system and resolve any issues that were causing it to malfunction.
- Consult a professional: If you are not familiar with automotive electronics or are unable to resolve the issue with the above steps, it may be best to consult with a professional technician who can diagnose and repair the system for you.
It's also possible that there is a problem with the remote start system itself, such as a malfunctioning control module

I have a Audiovox d1988 and the screen won't play. I have sound but no picture. Help!!!
Jim,
First thing I would do is try a different DVD to see if the problem persists. Otherwise, this device is equipped with integrated speakers, meaning it is unlikely that you will be able to replace them. You may be in the market for a new Audiovox, unfortunately; but before you scrap it I suggest taking it to a local electronic repair store near you.
Hope this helps,
Best regards

Looking for code to use universal remote on 12v. audiovox TV
Set-up (Programming) procedure is too much to type in here, and is not practical and it will differ brand-to-brand remote controls. If you wish to get more; check the sites linked here. The site has set-up code list & set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. The site has general set-up codes to check with TVs and other devices are given, in the order of the 'device's brand name list' in alphabetical order. Set-up code list to many brand remote controls also is given. Pull up older posts. Search the sites by type in the brand name to your device in its search box at the top right part of the display window. It will help you to find the document easily.

Programming Notes
• If your device does not respond to the remote after trying all codes listed or your brand is not listed in the code list, use the Auto Code Search method to program your remote.
•
Sometimes the first code that "works" with your device may operate only a few functions of your device. There may be another code in the code list that performs more functions. Try other codes from the code list for more functionality.
This is a trial and error procedure; and quiet time consuming. You might have to check different codes said for your device

I have an Audiovox TV Model no. TV92722. There is
first, make sure the TV in in American Cable mode (ntsc). next do this, menu... tuner... cable... scan... the reason maybe the TV is on TV air mode; but now is receiving cable. from the antenna coax cable. . another reason is that many cableco's now use Switched Digital Video ( a more robust setup) that now requires the Digital Tuning Adapter... also to help prevent free-loading. a last possibility is your (old) TV does Not work on the new cable. A new TV usually cures this ...!
