Hi and welcome to FixYa,
Initially, determine and postback the exact model number of the Audiovox combo TV/DVD unit.
Offhand, if it were a slot type DVD loading system, try fishing the inside of the slot in case a disc is stuck inside. This is best done with a credit card like something. The idea is to jar the erring disc while pressing on the EJECT button. In some instances, a
can of compressed air maybe used.
Alternately, power off and unplug the unit. Press and hold on the EJECT button while plugging in and/or powering the unit. May have to be done a couple of times.
Should the above be not corrective, options then are:
- consider a DIY (do-it-yourself) repair if and only if very familiar with electronic components & circuitry, use of a DVM/VOM, a soldering iron/station and safe working practices with electrically powered devices. Access to a Service Manual or at the very least, a schematic diagram would be a necessity;
- should you be uncomfortable with a DIY, perhaps your best bet would then be to seek the services of an authorized Audiovox Service Center (specially if still under some form of extended warranty) or a qualified professional.
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
