Audiovox FPE1078 7.8 in. TV/DVD Combo Questions & Answers
Plug in
You could open the TV up and follow the cord until you can find some kind of fraying or break in the cord or leads they are connected to. If it's the cable itself, you can solder them back together and wrap it in electrical tape. You just have to be careful about making sure the right wires are connected and that none of them are touching each other. Use the electrical tape to separate the wires so they don't short out and start a fire. If it's not the wire itself, then it's possibly the power supply it's connected to.
I have an Audiovox FPE1078 and when I load a DVD
You play some music cd, then let the dvd cool down, you do it enough times the condensation will be gone and DVD can then be played. You use remote to keep it on standby, then condensation problem will be gone forever. I have the same model and fixed it this way.
Receiving tv programs
In the menu theres a channel set up mode. You want to switch from antenna to cable mode, then do an auto search. Then all your cable channels will come in. Your going to need the original remote to go into the correct menu. good Luck
Continuous Channel Searching & Power Button Issues
What source are you using? If cable, you should only be able to pickup channel 3 or 4 if you're using the box. If there is no antenna, that would be the only other answer if the set checks out...accordianman
Blue light on antenna isn't turning on remote start won't work.
It's possible that the issue with your Audiovox pursuit PRO9056c remote start system is related to the antenna or its connection. Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the antenna connection: Make sure the antenna is properly connected to the control module of the remote start system. You may need to remove the panel where the antenna is mounted to access the wiring and connections. Check the wiring for any signs of damage or corrosion, and make sure the connections are tight.
- Check the fuse: The remote start system may have a fuse that is responsible for powering the antenna. Check the fuse to make sure it is not blown or damaged.
- Reset the system: Try resetting the remote start system by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, then reconnecting it. This may help reset the system and resolve any issues that were causing it to malfunction.
- Consult a professional: If you are not familiar with automotive electronics or are unable to resolve the issue with the above steps, it may be best to consult with a professional technician who can diagnose and repair the system for you.
It's also possible that there is a problem with the remote start system itself, such as a malfunctioning control module

I have a Audiovox d1988 and the screen won't play. I have sound but no picture. Help!!!
Jim,
First thing I would do is try a different DVD to see if the problem persists. Otherwise, this device is equipped with integrated speakers, meaning it is unlikely that you will be able to replace them. You may be in the market for a new Audiovox, unfortunately; but before you scrap it I suggest taking it to a local electronic repair store near you.
Hope this helps,
Best regards
