New battery in laptop. Cannot start laptop from battery power alone. Why?

It could be an issue with your laptop computer it's self then and it needs to be repaired by someone that fixes computers. A power supply issue with the actual computers it's self then.

I have a outdoor hd antenna and my rotation box won't power on

lost the DC power pack you did.most are wall wart power packs,. not power cords (simple wire)it is DC power pack to run the DC motor inside the ANTENNAAC to DC power pack it is, and the voltage must be correct. not guessing and for sure amp rating at least same as original or the rotor motor will fail.

Power supply board BN44-00808E. Out of 12 pin, 11th pin assigned as GROUND is measuring 3 Volts. Rest all 11 pins are good. Is the power supply board good ?

What are you measuring across? Ground is ground and you should be using that pin to measure all others.

Accidently i locked both osd key & power key on zenscreen touch MB 16AMT? How do i unlock it? Nothing works not pressing any of the bottoms for 5 sec. Thanx

The key lock should be disabled by pushing and holding the 5-way key to the left for 5+ seconds. (You should see a response on the screen but do not hold it long enough to re-engage the lock.) If the unit isn't responding, I suggest checking for dirt or damage to the 5-way key. With the monitor unplugged (from the power and video sources, if you use the touch feature), try using some isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) on a Q-Tip to gently remove any dirt near the 5-way button. Let the alcohol completely evaporate before connecting the monitor to power and video. The Power Lock can only be disengaged from the OSD menu. Go to the System Setup menu (the icon looks like a wrench). Enter this menu and navigate to the Power Lock line. Select this option and set it to disable the power lock. The manual for the Asus MB16AMT is available on the product support page: https://www.asus.com/us/Displays-Desktops/Monitors/ZenScreen/ZenScreen-Touch-MB16AMT/HelpDesk_Manual?model2Name=ZenScreen-Touch-MB16AMT . See page 3-8 (page 26 of the PDF) for the details on the Key Lock and Power Lock. The current link to the manual is https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/LCD%20Monitors/MB16AMT/ASUS_MB16AMT_English.pdf . I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

Lost the oem power supply, purchased one from amazon. When plugged into ac (USA) the radio displays low power & shuts down. Works fine on batteries. Shuts off using power supply? Grundig 750 Satelitt.

Sounds like the power adapter is not capable of delivering 500 milliamps. Read the label on the power supply you got and make sure it says 6VDC and 500mA or a higher mA rating. If the one you bought does meet that specification, there is something in the radio that is drawing too much current.

Wireless power does not work

You may experience random connectivity issues when you connect a Windows-based mobile PC to certain Wi-Fi "hot spots." These connectivity issues include the following:
  • The wireless network connection is dropped.
  • You experience poor performance.
You experience these issues if the computer is running on battery power. Note You may also experience these issues when you connect a Windows-based mobile PC to a wireless access point (AP) in a small office/home office (SOHO) environment or in an enterprise environment. Cause This issue occurs if the Wi-Fi hot spot uses wireless APs or routers that do not support the 802.11 power save protocol. This issue occurs because of the power saving features that are included in Windows. The default power plan that Windows uses for a mobile PC is the Balanced power plan. The following is true for mobile PCs that are configured to use the Balanced power plan:
  • When the mobile PC is plugged into a power source, the wireless network adapter is configured to use Maximum Performance mode. This turns off 802.11 power save mode.
  • When the mobile PC is running on battery power, the wireless network adapter is configured to use Medium Power Saving mode. This uses the 802.11 power save mode.
When an 802.11 wireless network adapter that is set to use power save mode wants to enter a sleep state, the adapter indicates this intention to the wireless AP. The adapter does this by setting the power save option in its packets or in the 802.11 frames that it sends to the wireless AP. In this scenario, the following behavior should occur:
  1. When the wireless AP receives the frames that have the power save option set, the wireless AP determines that the client network adapter that sent the frames wants to enter a power saving state.
  2. The wireless AP then buffers packets that are destined for the client network adapter.
  3. When the radio of the client network adapter turns on, the client network adapter then communicates with the AP to retrieve the buffered packets.
This behavior enables the wireless network adapter to use less power and to wake up periodically at the correct time to receive network traffic from the AP. If the wireless AP does not support this feature correctly, the wireless AP continues to send packets to the client network adapter even if the client network adapter radio is turned off. Therefore, these packets are lost. In this scenario, the symptoms that you experience may vary depending on the phase of the wireless connection in which these packets are lost.

Which is the lower energy consumption arises from the fact that the SSD will use lesser power and that its cooling needs are much lower? Sata 3gbps is preferable?

SSD and HDD do not support 3GB/sThe theoretical speed of SATA 3.0 is 750MB/s, while due to physical overheads and encoding during the transfer itself, the effective transfer rate you'll get with the newest SATA model is around 600MB/s, which is quite fast for a limiting SATA interface. In practice, the speed is a lot slower.
