When trying to turn it on the green light comes on
This type of fault can be repair, it could be a short circuit on the panel power board, remove the back cover of the television in this you have to resolder the panel where you can find dry soldering, but if otherwise a common problem for these is bad capacitors in the power supply, Remove the back from your TV and look at the power supply on the left hand side.
You will see roughly around 9 x capacitors that are bulged / domed shaped on top usually these are valued at 3300uf 10V any that have bulged or leaked a brown like substance should be changed.
This will cure the problem as they overheat being sat next to a heatsink that gets very hot!
Try and change them for the same 3300uf but a higher voltage.
Hope this help to rectify the problem.....
I have replaced the flyback,
If the set had a burnt CL031 Capacitor and its now squealing you may have a broken CRT if not the deflection board itself will need replacement. But I would inspect each CRT neck real good even loosen the yoke as often they will crack right at the yokes clamp line.
The cable plug came out from the tv ie. there is
The cable fitting is part of the set's tuner, board would have to be removed and tuner removed to replace the fitting---not a do it yourself repair.
There is a simple way to get around this problem!
Not knowing what you use for cable, what you can do is from the cable box (if you are using one) go from its audio and video output jacks (if the box does not have them most cable companies will provide you with a box that does) to one of the sets of audio and video jacks on the back of the set.
Select that input either with the remote or via the front keyboard----the audio/video jacks BYPASS the tuner input; the set will work as before except you will leave it on that input (video1 etc).
Even if you have to rent a cable box the cost is much less than repairing the cable fitting--most of those I do it is around $100 repair (mostly labor).
What I am saying is it is much easier and cheaper to bypass it than repair it.(YOU WILL LIKELY FIND IT PROVIDES AS GOOD OR BETTER PICTURE THAN THE CABLE FITTING).

My GE D52GW12 52 in TV only turns on after I push
Thats a very easy repair which is almost always related to failed power capacitors CP150, CP120 and CP114. You can get the RCA repair kit which is the same as the GE from www.tvrepairworld.com
the kit is called the ATC221 CP150, CP120 & CP114 repair kit . The kit contains the caps and the CD with instructions for the repair.

If you need a tube replacement, your best bet is to get a used one from ebay. You need to verify the numbers on the side of the tube. Note: this is a very hazardous part to be handling. If you do not have an electronics background I strongly suggest you not attempt to replace, then re-align the tv.
The TV will not stay ON long enough for a TV
A current overload is occurring in the unit, and causing it to shut off. It could be the tripler to the display, or any other component.
You can sometimes find mobile tv repair persons that will come to your place to fix it, which is usually the easiest thing to do, and often more reasonable than the "big" names.
Good luck, and hope this helps.
No power, light blinks 3 times
Google GE D52GW12 blink codes. From ther you should be able to find out what is wrong with your tv. The blink code is like a self diagnostic tool.
My tv, and also my
This is an indication of out-of-regulation in the power supply section. The very
common caused of this fault is the leaky
electrolytic capacitor in
that section. It will drop the supply from normal voltage and
will disable the unit.It needs a little warm-up to make itself stable but the
symptom will get worst. Sometimes it has a bulged/dome at the top but not all, it is better
that you have a capacitor
checker/tester to determine
its condition. Your unit will back to normal again if the leaky capacitor is
If you don't have necessary tools
and test instruments, and can't do the job yourself, I would advice you to
look for a professional to troubleshoot the problem. Don't
attempt to work in the power supply if you don't know the safety precaution of handling it, there some stored
electricity enough to hurt you with a little mistake only.
Also check if your unit is under warranty /extended warranty,
avail it because the manufacturer of your unit will fix it for free. Don't open
the back panel, this will void the warranty.
Hope I helped you.
Have a nice day!
Thanks for using Fixya.
ITS NOT AN RCA BUT A GENERAL ELECTRIC 52" TV, WE
Hello. I dont know if i can help but let me see if i can offer my advice. The GE version of this set is the same as the rca version of the itc222. I have worked on probably hundreds of these sets in the shop. and of the ge versions 90 percent of the faliures that i have encountered are due to what is known as faulty flyback transformers. most of them time arching and smelling like something is burning. Also this ussally shorts what is known as the horizontal output transistor. If this is all that is wrong generally it can be repaired for around 100 to 200 depending on the shop that you choose. The other possibilities might include bad capacitor componrents. or faulty solder point connections. witch are things that would also need to be checked.
Makes noise nwhen turning off
You need to resolder the dflection board and coil LL037.
Deflection board is the bottom left hand side board, with FBT flyback transfomer on it.
