Help Tries to start 3 times and shuts off
This is natural--set has the 3 strikes built into it---it will try 3 times and if fails will go to shutdown. It means a short somewhere either in the power supply of the high voltage circuit. These sets have a history of bad solder connections under the High voltage transformer that can cause this problem.

just the deflection board is more likely however those arent the part numbers you will need the bar code sticker numbers to determine which boards are in your model as several were used and they are identified by bar code numbers.

The tv a/c power cord have internal damages short on the head of the a/c plug itself. This work job is pretty simple if u can do a basic soldering jobs and have tools like a soldering iron and a roll of solders.Look around in ur house for a table portable lamp u don't used anymore unsolders and take that portable lamp a/c power cord.It have very simular design and make of a power a/c cord.Take the tv aparts simplely just unsolder the old tv power a/c cord and replace it with a portable table lamp a/c power cord. Those stars srews on the tv are called Allan wrench screws, must a have a set of Allan wrench screws drivers to use take out this screws out of the tv.Some ealier DLP tvs set made by GE are using these Allan wrench screws, tries to make it much more difficult to take the tv aparts as GE they're trying not to allow tvs owner to take the tv aparts.Or have any friend to help u can do it,have a soldering iron,a rolls of solders, have basic soldering skills.A Allen wrench screws drivers set u can buy it anywhere in a hardware store.

Since the flyback has been replaced, then I suspect since you hear a clicking in the front, that the large red wire is not fully been put into the high voltage splitter. The front grill comes off by removing screws (star) on the sides at the bottom looking from the back of the set. Then you can see if the large red wire is loose or not. The one in particular is coming from the flyback. You can also pull the red wire from the splitter to see if the set stays on. If it does you have a bad splitter or bad picture tube. Also there are two capacitors on the deflection board that go bad sometimes. Can be identified by bulge at the top.

The CRT on the left will need to be replaced. You can test it by removing the CRT drive board from the bottom of that tube and leaving it suspended without unplugging any wires. try plugging it back in and pressing power. If it powers up with that drive board hanging off the bottom of that tube then you know thats the issue and the CRT ( tube) will need replacement. You can get the replacement CRTs ( tubes) from

Try resoldering the flyback transformers connections on the board. Its very common for the flyback pins to develope cracks around the pins which can cause that issue. I would check that first with that model.
