I try to delete a folder of music from my GPX to
Try this solution:
Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio
Books, etc. from MP3 Player
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.
Good Luck,
I hope this helps

Try turning off the hold button. It will lock up the player and nothing will happen.
Not playing music
It happened to me once before.
So I formatted it threw the program that came with the device and then I copied my music files once again while the program was working. After that everything worked just fine.
Hope it helps!!
Not working
If you have the manual in digital form, please post it on this site.
Search the manual for a way to reset the device, if you can't find it try disconnecting it from any power source(AC, batteries, etc) for a few days.
On showing Hidden files/folders: from windows explorer, while inside the GPX external drive- click on tools>folder options>view>hidden files and folders
Good luck

Unfortunately the GPX M2104 manual is not available online(due to large size...), so all I can help with is some advice that might seem like the obvious, or some referals-
1. Make sure the HOLD is in off position. Slide the HOLD switch to the opposite side of the word HOLD. Then connect the player back and try to transfer/add/delete the songs you want.
2. If you have a digital form of the manual(please submit it here) search for "write protect" on it(shift+control+f on adobe), or look in the troubleshooting section which is generaly towards the end of the manual.
3. Try resetting the device. If you don't know how, again - it should be on the manual, and if it isn't then unplugging it and disconnecting it from all power sources for a few days sometimes does the trick.
you can also try doing it on another PC, or another OS just to make sure it really is the GPX malfunctioning.
Good luck
My gpx mw240s says error and i cannot play any music. What else should i try doing?
If your GPX MW240S MP3 player is displaying an error message and not playing any music, there are a few things you can try to fix the issue:
- Reset the player: Sometimes resetting the MP3 player can fix the error. To reset the GPX MW240S, press and hold the power button for 10 seconds, release the button, and then turn the player back on.
- Check the music files: Ensure that the music files you are trying to play are in a compatible format with the GPX MW240S. The player supports MP3 and WMA formats, and if your files are in a different format, they will not play. You can convert the files using a free online converter.
- Update the firmware: If the player's firmware is outdated, it may cause errors while playing music. You can update the firmware by downloading the latest version from the GPX website and following the instructions.
- Check the storage space: If the MP3 player's memory is full, it may cause errors. Delete some files from the player to free up space.
If none of these solutions work, there may be a hardware issue with the player, and it may need to be repaired or replaced.

On my gpx cd home music system HM38170T the cd door won't open. How do I fix it?
If the CD door on your GPX CD home music system HM38170T won't open, here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check for obstructions: Make sure there is nothing blocking the CD door or the area around it. Sometimes small objects or debris can get stuck and prevent the door from opening. If you see any obstructions, carefully remove them.
- Power cycle the system: Turn off the system and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. Sometimes power cycling can help reset the system and fix any issues.

Downloading songs from itunes to the MP3 player
The GPX mp3 player is incompatible with iTunes (as are most non-iPod mp3 players). There are a few mp3 players out there that are iTunes compatible, but this is not the one.

Brand new GPX mp3 player will not pair or show up on usb drive
Instruct the computer to search for it. The computer should automatically find it and load drivers, but it should show in Windows Explorer as a volume in the left pane. Where are you looking?
It will only pair with a computer if the computer has Bluetooth and most don't. Pair with a smartphone.
How do I transfer my music to my device?
This device is capable of playing MP3 and WMA (4ithout DRM) files. To load files requires a computer with a USB connection and the minimum requirements of Windows XP .
- Connect the player to the USB cable provided in packaging, and then connect the other end to your computers USB port.
- Once connection has been made between the device and your computer, a "GPX" drive will appear in the computer directory.
- Double click on the GPX drive
- Drag and drop your MP3 files and folders into the Music or playlist folder
